Jamaica also has virtually no drug controls -- essentially you can dope in Jamaica with more ease than say in the UK, France etc and get away with it -- out of competition doping is a joke there. Indeed, a spate of Jamaican athletes tested positive recently but conveniently, nothing much is made of it.

BTW Greek have ZERO mid distance or long distance runners let alone crap ones. If Greeks think they can say racist nonsense about blacks (not just jamaicans) dont expect me to keep quiet.

Yohan wasnt even banned by Wada. He took a stimulant (which was part of his medication) that was similar in structure to a banned substance on Wada's list. The Jamaican anti doping association banned him because they knew people would unnecessary complain, Wada had no grounds to ban Yohan.
Over 6 months later 9 Australians had the same stimulant in their system and nothing happened.... again, nice try, LOL.

i just wonder how lucky all these guys (pirros dimas holidis patoulidou etc etc) had been. I think the current image of greek athletes is the one that reflects the reality. Thanks to yanna aggelopoulou billions modern greece managed to host the olympics of course by bribing the majority of the olympic comitee members and antidopping bodies but failed to do the same during 2008 olympics.

No chalkia has not YET got what she deserves. She must get stripped of her medals, be thrown out of her army or navty or whatever position and other privileges and face charges for drug taking. "Superior DNA" my arse.
The moment i heard she was caught i was very happy. if only they had caught her at the olympics.

Glad she was caught. Greece has becoming the east germany of the 21 century and Chalkia's cheating has been sticking out like a sore thumb: To all my fellow Greeks: if you think that all athletes are doping like kenteris, chalkia, thanou and the rest, you are deluding yourselves. Genuine athletes race frequently at meetings throughoiut the season and have times and performances that stand up to scrutiny. Our three super stars raced once or twice a year. This is a very fair and honest comment and this is why so many sporting fans around the world reckon that Halkia does more damage to the sport than the real hard working athletes. If you look at any Aussie Swimmer their is 10 years of their times and training schedules. If anyone pops up this quickly not only the anti doping gets onto them but also the general public. Yes sure people take drugs, but in Athens 2004 it was ridiculous. Greece has not 1 Gold Medal for 2008.
