  • this is more influenced by the elvis rendition, becuase the breaks are different from the carl perkins version, which he himself changed after hearing the elvis recording. check out the perkins original recording if you dont think so.

  • It's not him, it's Carl Perkins !!!!! :)

  • Som3 nice guitar work in there, nice version too. Eddie's a legend, and deservedly so - Rock on!

  • eddie cochran lives on....an American legend. They don't make music like that anymore.

  • Eddiie cochran is really good, sorry he pass on at such a early age.

  • eddie cochran.. rockabilly. AND I LIKE IT! I LIKE EDDIE COCHRAN! hey mom, ... I LIKE EDDIE COCHRAN!! :D

  • Why the hell you think everyone wants to play a 6120. Dont forget though.Carl Perkins didnt do a version he wrote it.

  • Why the hell you think everyone wants to play a 6120

  • Carl Perkins version is great - but I don't like Elvis' version. I think this is one of the best things Eddie recorded - it really rocks.

  • SORRY PAL BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE KING OF ROCKANROLL ELVIS BUT EDDIES SONGS ARE GREAT IN HIS OWN WAY LONG LIVE ROCK ANROLL JIMANDOT

  • @jimandot yah but eddie is rock a billy. AND I LIKE IT!!

  • This is good version maybe C Perkins is better only because their is alot to say about orginals you got to give it to them in most cases the orginals 1s.

  • Eddie rocks!!!!!!

  • Eddie the master of guitar and this is about what rock "n" rock is about fun!

  • forever EDDIE Rock n Roller

  • ehh.

like my freestyle of that phrase better: "it goes one for the money, two for the show. Tought she was a honey, but she was really a hoe"

  • super frateeeeeee

  • Cochran is bsolutely shit. LONG LIVE Chuck Berry, Buddy Guy, Bo Diddley, Elvis, Bonamassa, T-man, Clapton, BB King, Lil Richard, Muddy Waters, Eric Bibb and John Lee Hooker.

  • @dvdsmlprstylr lol. I can't understand why you are here ...most, if not all people NEVER go to a site with an artist they don't like and spread crap like you....I think you actually LOVE Eddie. Eddie, the best, # 1. It's NOT what I think because scholars and schientist from Greenland to China now have found evidence and proved that Eddie was/is the best in any musical domain. Give me your address and I send free copies of 102 thesis that proves that. You are finished year 2027.

  • @gangerollo no, i originally went on this video cos ive never heard of him before - cant be that great.

i only come back to this video to reply to u cos u amuse me. i LOVE how you ramble on about total shit. keep going, please, i want you to reply. make my day

  • @dvdsmlprstylr Continued...finished both literally and figurally speaking. Not mention your "brain". It will be too much facts for that one. Your head - when you are reading , or trying reading the 97th thesis - will explode and you will scream, and having a "Nervous Breakdown". Time for the funny house, one way ticket. There you will babble, Summertime Blues, My Way, C'mon Everybody and shout for 'Theresa'...but it is only you and Eddie there. None can hep you. Adieu!

  • @gangerollo funny how u think you're clever just because u can string a few lyrics/song titles together.

can u do another one for me, i laughed my ass off so much im beginning to like u.

  • @dvdsmlprstylr I don't think I am clever. I am. I tell you: I can drink both bourbon and beer; can tear down walls with my bare hands, can chew pig-iron and spit it out as razor blades, can kill a man with a smile; can holler like a mountain-jack, can swallow hogsbacks whole and make love all night long; can do whatever you can do - I can do it better.

  • @gangerollo

    fail man.

    epic fail.

    learn how to rhyme

  • @ABOM420 What epic fail? And why should I learn how to rhyme? I'm not writing poetry here or elswhere.

  • @ABOM420

I don't know what this argument is about, but the term "epic fail" is in of itself, an epic fail. Attack of the show sucks.

  • @JimmyDFFDBorneo

    HOLY FUCK!!!!

is that really where that came from man??

    i will never

    EVER

    say that fucking phrase again.

that show reminds me of a hyperactive 5 year old.

  • @dvdsmlprstylr...I'm a bad go getter, gunslinger and mean roadrunner. I'm known as a desperado beyound equal, and if I HIT your country again, well it's actually a tiny island, or your town, I scatter any competition because I am the biggest, the baddest, the fastest in any land. Be sure, I am, so don't act like a cry baby or the lord will spew you forth from his mouth. Now I will lounge by the poolside, drink a cold beer and count the passing bikinis and grab 1 or 2 gals and Ed's music LOUD!

  • @gangerollo...you are such a incredible big mouth and loud mouth...hahaha

  • @BabybluesLand I am? This was just a starter. Warming up... ;O)

  • @BabybluesLand lol.

  • @gangerollo ...and let these kids alone, who are half age as you...lol

  • @dvdsmlprstylr You should be deleted from here...for good. Why are you here and not listening to bad Dyl...sorry bob Dylan...yes, that was a real bad voice.

  • Comment removed

  • @dvdsmlprstylr Think I have to hit your head with something hard, or you have been hitted hard already as you are a tiny bewildered teenager. Eddie had one of the ruffest, toughest rockn'roll voices in the business. That's a fact but he was even better on guitar. You are a whimper and a fairy.

  • @dvdsmlprstylr Btw, you don't sing but only do some riffs, and you are no good gtr player. Eddie was about your age doing this version. What have you accomplished with your funny but stupid sounding British accent?

  • Comment removed

  • @dvdsmlprstylr Hahahahahahaha...you are off the track, off the road, you are in fact off the ditch. NO, Eddie didn't pick up the gtr for the first time at the age of 16, he was playing gtr way earlier. For example, at the age of 14 he had a blond Gibson cutaway. Eddie's voice could cross from rock-a-billy into rhythn 'n blues without missing a notch. Ain't bad.

  • @dvdsmlprstylr All I can say that you are an ignorant person. For example Chuck Berry's biggest influence was Charlie Christian (black jazz gtr) , Lois Jordan (black R&B) and COUNTRY. Maybelliene is a rock-a-billy song. Who do you think penned and did this original song, a song that is a stable in the rockn'roll inventory? Carl Perkins (white), from Tiptonville. Originally rockn'roll is a mix of blues and country. You are ignorant and against logic there is no armor like ignorance

  • @dvdsmlprstylr Insulting you?...Well, if you can't write properly what you are referring to, I need correcting you. I guess you ( can only guess what you are alluding to) mean "Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll" directed by Taylor Hackford in '87. I watched it in '87, long before your father decided trowing "you" in trash bin or let it/you grow. Seems like 2nd choice here. Think it was Keith that managed getting Chuck in some proper clothing since 1965 and put the late great Johnnie Johnson...

  • @gangerollo ...on pno. Because of Johnson's influence almost all of Chuck's tunes are in Jazz and piano keys, like Bb, F, Eb et cetera. I think I have been around a while and listen to the most important black and white artists/performers from late '30s onward. As I have some 1000 albums at home with this music, who some call 'root music' aka '50's Rockn'Roll, Rock-a-billy, Blues (West-Coast, Chichago etc, styles), R&B, Early Soul, Cajun, Zydeco, Doo Woop, Gospel, pop from days gone by etc...

  • @dvdsmlprstylr Well, I stay AWAY from your channel with comments so you stay away from mine. OK? You have a one track mind and I think you need at least 10 more years of progress until you mature. There are nothing substantial in your stupid statement that black artists were the best, only an unmatured opinion you have. Have it. Good, but you are way off. Not excactly a 100 metres race where you have a winner, the first crossing the line. Capice?

  • Comment removed

  • @dvdsmlprstylr Are there something difficult here to understand? I have never written anything on your channel. Period. You just don't get it, do you? There is nothing like a best artist, just opinions people have. Like people have opinions about books, movies etc. Of course one need having a certain level of quality. Who is best gtr player, Cliff Gallup or ST Vaughan? A matter of taste. That fictive 100 metres race was an example when one can say that there is a certain person who is # 1

  • @dvdsmlprstylr continue..aka being the best. It didn't make sense because you appearantly can't understand the distinction between literally and figurally speaking. If you can't do that, and one just need a teenie weenie bit of abstract thinking...well, then you have a problem.

  • Comment removed

  • @dvdsmlprstylr You DON'T need to reply. Your own choice. I think, if someone have fullowed this 'discussion', have a stronger and stronger sense that you are now sticking to irrelevant "facts". Age question, calling me childish, You calling me dirty words in capital letters - if one should be blocked it's you - and at last, asking for help. Either you continue or don't. If I would make a comment on your channel, which I haven't, but you, one can block and/or erase comments there.

  • @gangerollo u can delete ur comments as well

  • @dvdsmlprstylr Not because anyone tells me. No need to. If they are here...well, I stand for them.

  • EDDY IS BETTER THAN ELVIS PRESLEY

  • Dynamite version! I've always liked Eddie Cochran. I always though that if he wouldn't have died he would have taken Elvis because Eddie was all around better.

  • I love Eddie's guitar work in this song!l Also, his smooth voice!

  • super .quelle epoque

  • thats fucking cool

  • great song by eddie

  • Thanks for posting this version by Eddie.

  • greatest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • eddie was the best of the elvis imitators.....

  • Comment removed

  • how can elvis imitate cochran when he was first....don't be one of those people who argue against elvis being the greatest because you want everyone to think you know something they don't.....elvis was the best just accept it and your life will be a better one....

  • @mfbinc Elvis? Never heared of. There was only 1 Eddie Cochran!

  • @jt123egypte actually there was more than one elvis imitator who had some minor hits covered by other artists...it's true

  • He was a great guitar player as well. Loved him.

  • man,,he is s good!

    RIP

  • nope its actually eddie a rare cover but it wasnt even elvis's song it was carl perkins song originally

  • very rare that i like a cover version more but, man, its eddie^^

  • weit besser als Elvis

  • best version!Love it!

  • the king!

  • Eddie Cochran, King of Rock and Roll!

  • @jt123egypte

yes man! Only the good die young...and he was the best

  • Incredibly good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hello EDDIE tu est le meilleur.

    go cat go!

  • hello apres carl perkins la plus belle version.

  • nothing like his guitar no one take rythim like eddie

  • dare i say this version kicks carl perkins versions ass lol well it does

  • Nah nothing can beat the original! But Eddie's version is very underated indeed :)

  • @RoverTCB featuring eddie on guitar and vocals, Guybo on bass and jerry capehart on cardboard box

  • @greaser1993 You absolutely dare saying it but I think Ed's and Carl's (original) version are the 2 best to be found. A little different but absolutelt from my pov better than El's version and of course all the other countless copy cat versions.

  • Eddie Cochran...Master of the Overdub...my favourite version bar non of Blue Suede Shoes

  • Check 'Eddie Cochran Story - Rock-a-bobabilly', there is also a 25 CD with 582 files with everything connected with Eddie. Some great instrumentals and other stauff I never heard.

  • squirrel...I have been searching high and low but haven't been able to find another one by Eddie

  • But I have found a supercool alt take of "Three Steps To Heaven" with more echo, more laidback gtr and different backing vocals creating an almost eerie sound. Also found 2 diff. versions of "Pink-Peg Slacks" and more

  • it sounds like theres an extra guitar overdubbed. is there a version without that? i could be wrong

  • vielen dank RoverTCB für die tolle playlist.

ich bin rocker seit 1958 und die beiden größten

für mich sind EDDIE COCHRANE UND BUDDY HOLLY

  • HIT IT CAP.

  • Eddie the king!!

  • love his guitar

  • I met carl perkins memphis sound but listen to the echo eddie used on this man .go cat go! johnny suede

  • This is my favour version!!!! EDDIE is far out in his great guitar work and with his great voice!!!!

    Jim.

  • It's great to see an enthusiastic fan like you Jim, keep rocking :)

  • A Great version,Classic 50's Rockabilly!

  • Eddie Cochran and Carl Perkins did the best version of "Blue Suede Shoes". I have listened to many recordings of this one. The '50s Elvis version can't be compared with the above mentioned guys

  • go cat go

  • good job thanks for posting.

  • This is the "Snuffy Garrett" guitar overdub version, do you have the undubbed version cos this one is irratating

  • HIT IT CAT

  • As much as I love the original rocknroll I have always had a hard time with "Blue Swede Shoes". I dunno why, but, it's a big BUT 2 versions kill me and that's this one by ED and Perkins original. Nuff said!
