Nothing. It's when you turn it in late that 10% of whatever grade you're going to get is cut right off the top. 1 sec late is the same as 24 hours late.
all cadets have to take sociology (AKA SOSH) at the Academy. For the course, you have to write a paper, which everyone traditionally blows off to the last minute because its not a numbers course. Everyone traditionally writes the paper at the last minute and rushes to turn it in before you get written up. Over the years the "running" of the SOSH papers has turned into a tradition as you can see
he got there he was panting and breathing heavily trying to explain. The professor said, "sorry, it's 4:04, and you're late."
After letting him beg and plead for a couple of minutes, he said, "Hey Doug. It's really 3:59. I set my clock five minutes fast."
Ask around and you will still be able to hear stories about when Doug McInvale *WAS* the sosh run!
