  • Brilliant. I have a K-7. All I need now is talent.

  • I want that wallpaper :)

  • I am going to film school this fall ( fourteen days not that I am counting ) Its guys like you that inspire me to go into film. Great work!

  • dude make this into a feature film!

  • DUDE MAKE THIS INTO A FEATURE LENGTH !!!

  • Well, it's a video - not a "film" (don't know why so many people have a problem with using the accuarte title "A Video by...."). But it is exceptionally done, technically. I'd send a copy of it to Pentax. I have the movie mode on my KX also, but I'd be damned if I'd use it over a dedicated video camera.

  • You guys at Pentax should add 24p and 25p. That's why no one talks about Pentax for filming making. Its almost all Canon. Not like this post will get approved LOL

  • Loved this short film and its so different to what i've seen. Its all inspiring especially since im doing these kind of short films in my media class and it seems easier than i thought with all the equipment you had available to you e.g. the green screen. Awesome camera angles used aswell (Y)

  • The short movie was awesome and all inspiring, espiecially since im doing these kind of short films in my media class

  • Awesome movie. I'm just wondering if the sound was recorded with the camera. I was also wondering if the camera had a headphone input.

  • @jpjerulle We used a separate microphone to record the sound.

  • I'm so inspired by this...what kind of lenses were used for 'Uncle Jack?'

  • @MaizLucero

PENTAX K-7 and the DA 10-17mm, DA* 16-50mm, and DA* 60-250mm lenses.

  • @pentaxian1 thanks maizLucero for already asking this question... I'm fired up now.

  • Damn - I wish my Nikon D700 had video capability.

  • Nice Video, but how did you do the sound, The K-& doesn't have a mic Input on it? If It had a mic input on it and did 1080p 24 I would buy it in a heart beat.

  • @YZFHornet

The K-7 does have a mic input.

  • @pentaxian1 , not to be big dummy, were is the mic input ? I look all over for one when I tried it out at Fry's and on the Pentax page it not listed. I'm would like to run my own shotgun mic for better sound. I know there is a build in one but were can I plug my own into on the K-7?

  • @YZFHornet

Please go to the product page on our website and open the image of the left side view. You will see a tab that says Mic

  • @pentaxian1 Yes I'm a big Dummy, I was looking at the K-X not the k-7 oh my bad.Ya I see it. Thanks

  • if only the video feature of K-7 was used. why not use pentax kx since the video feature is the same?

  • @xusen008 The video feature is similar on the K-7 and K-x, but the build of the cameras is very different. If you look at some of the situations the camera was in during the shoot, you will see that the rugged, water resistant design was certainly an asset

  • thanks for the clarification. I was thinking about buying one of them as a second camera. It seems that the kx lacks AF indicator and only takes AA batteries are two other major drawbacks.

  • Awesome!

  • omg.... i am gonna buy that camera !!!

  • You could have tried the Manfrotto Super Clamp for mounting the camera to the wheel, and probably other stuff =)

  • Interesting

  • that's amazing, so much work goes into this stuff
