lol i love it this fast, we take it slower in my concert band and everyone gets pissed about it being too easy. we're still working on getting our conductor to take it double time.

im playing this song in my band camp concert obviously not this exact tempo. It was great though. deffinaatly talent. but the original version was written slower. They were speeding it up because its marching band right? To keep the crowd going? but it was really great :]

This is an historically accurate tempo. Fillmore's trombone rags are quite peppy indeed. The skill of musicians you hear on records from the 1910s and 1920s is just amazing. Always a treat to hear people who can achieve that level today.
