I have always thought that, being parallel it's an explanation due to the time crisis the developers had to bear, Termina is not Parallel, but it's far away from Hyrule, or maybe not even that far, maybe next to it, being a forest the link between Hyrule and Termina, anyway, my point is that Majora's maybe hooked Link into Termina, so he could easily kill him, and therefore destroy most of the world as it was a mix of skull kid sadness and Majora's anger by being sealed
I own some of the greatest N64 games that ever existed. Those include TLoZ: OC, and MM, and Super Mario 64. I would be playing the hell out of them, but my N64 controller is broken :(
this game is what you get when developers care about their games and put effort into them. MM is one of the best games I have ever played and I'd really like to see it on the 3DS

I don't know if I consider this the best Zelda game, but it was very good, and at the very least Nintendo did try to make a different game, instead of OoT 1.5
@moccamonster well it was a sequel like zelda 2 is to zelda1 on nes. idk how much more the n64 coulda been better graphically, i mean it DID use the expansion pack and all..
Loved this game. Always found it a bit sad so many people I've talked to didn't immediately understand the time system and gave up. Some people say it should have been made more accessible but having finished it when I was 8 (when it came out) and loved it I can't but find these overcomplicated claims a bit confusing compared to my experience of it.
This game has a lot of replayability because of its gameplay structure. You can beat everything and still play through the whole game over again without a new save.
I wouldn't call Majora's Mask underappreciated, it did very well in terms of critics and sales, but I would certainly say it was a little more difficult to appreciate relative to other Zeldas. Link to the Past, OoT, and the rest were very immediately accessible, whereas Majora's Mask had a very different vibe and atmosphere.
this music and its double when you turn the world upside down makes me feel creepy, close to death, isn't it just powerful... the whole game was extremely powerful.
@jrbaconcheez oh my fuckin god. i'm so sick of that. people think because majora's mask is a sequel, it sucks or isn't as good as oot. oot is soooo effin overrated. majora's mask is a better game to me.
@gameaddict51 OoT isn't overrated, it fully deserves all the acclaim, but I agree on one part: Majora's Mask is definitely on par with OoT and it gets underappreciated.
@gameaddict51 :) me too doode, OOT was epic, but THis game, this game was different from the other zelda games, and all the games i have played. u got a special feeling about this
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
MM did have some really annoying parts that later turned out not to be so bad. Slowing down time is a big thing , I hate being unable to feel like I can browse round town as much as possible, but tbh after seeing things change day and night, it's awesome now. Would I play it again ? Meh....no, it's not THAT good sorry
After you beat Igos Du Ikana, he makes a refrence to the tower when teaching the Elegy of Emptiness, in which he says that his soldiers would not be able to topple it, implying that he never attacked, let alone entered the tower at all. O_o
I don't get the obsession with trying to make theories about this game's plot. Not that they're bad or anything, but personally, I don't think this game's plot *needs* an explanation. It was SUPPOSED to kinda be creepy and unexplained. This includes why there is a face on the moon, Majora's Mask itself and other crazy shit that happens in this game.
Termina exists because it just does. (Though it probabally has to do w/ the mask itself)
I concur. The reason I loved Majora's Mask so much was because it was dark and creepy compared to the other games. It never felt right when you were playing it, everything seemed kinda off.
very good way of putting it, and i never thought about it like that but you are so right, nothing seems right in the game, where as ocorina of time, everything seems so epic and straightforward. where as this, its just so damn unique
@yogurtman321 even thought the art style felt right to twilight princess majora's mask always felt. If Majora's mask had a similar art style all of of us might have freaked. my 2 favorite Zelda games....
@yogurtman321 This, though I found the time system and emphasis on sidequests frustrating enough for me not to regard the game to be an all-time favorite. That said, I do prefer Majora's Mask to Ocarina of Time, but I prefer Twilight Princess to both of them. Twilight Princess, for me, had all the best things about Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but it failed to feel phenomenal enough for me to regard the game as an all-time favorite.
I kind of like it though. If you put a bunch of things together, everything makes much more sense. It's almost as if the game never ends, because there are things that happen that make you go "huh?", but then either you figure it out, or someone explains it to you and you're like "Whoa, that's crazy yet it actually makes sense!".
There's this interesting theory about Stone Tower and how it was the Terminian Tower of Babel and stuff. Besides the part about penis it actually makes a lot of sense.
As a real Zelda fan who played all LoZ games i can`t say there is one "best Zelda Game"
each zelda game has its own special feeling. And Majoras Mask is a Masterpiece, same as OoT. so Don`t argue which game is better, and just listen to the beautiful Soundtrack :)
It's on my list of faves too. The Ikana region had music that was rather dark...yet I liked them all. The puzzles in this dungeon were rather intense too.
Damn it, everytime you post music fram a game that i played i get the uncontrollable urge to replay it...And its still 2 weeks till i`m home again where my consoles are T_T WANT
I remember the first time I heard this music. Definitely one of the best temple themes in Zelda. Something good to listen to when you would get stuck in this temple.
This is that place where you make clones of the different forms of yourself with that one song, and the bosses where giant masked worms. Part of the temple was upside down too, and you had to flip it.
I also remember a ninja that explodes when you kill him, maybe that was the miniboss.
Great choice! Similar to the original Fire Temple music i think, really fits the theme of the area. I've allways liked this tune. The inverted tune was awesome when I first heard it.
@WINGMASTER7 Great game. The only thing was that the time limit for this game didn't help in making it any better. Though, one of my favorite sequels.
This was my favorite temple in the game. It was a little hard the first time through, but turned out to be a great challenge in the end. 5 outta 5 for you, SupraDarky!
Why the hell does this remind me of the Mantis Hymn? Seriously, listen to the "eee-eee-eeee," and then listen to Mantis Hymn. And I think I heard a bit of Edgar's Theme from FF6 in there. Or is all of this just me?
The best thing about this game is the music, because it REALLY makes you feel the situation!
Great game, great music.
