And what's the big deal with Ron Paul?? I dnt fucking get it.Everyone keeps saying he is so honest and he is this and that,at the end of the day,he's still a republican. And he would be a puppet like every other president is while the REAL powers that be make all the big decesions. We need to get a grasp people. We are run by big government, and thats scar. They make laws everyday that if you dnt research it,you will never know aboutThey are all in the same boat,so Ron Paul can kick rocks if u ask me
@joshcannon23 It doesn't matter if Ron Paul is a republican, he can actually get us out of debt, and fix our near broken country. You complain about big government- Ron Paul doesn't like it either. He's been right in everything he's said- Why not vote for him?
I don t really care who wins that damn election. They all go back on their promises, and im just sick of the democrats and republicans.I wanna see what the independents can do.I wish theyhad a strong canidate.Im black, and i can give two shits about Obama.I dont know why everyone expected a damn miracale when he got elected.Shit was really fucked up when he got elected. And it will continue as long as the 2 parties keep fighting like sissy for political victories, instead of looking out 4 us
I agree! Barrack Obama will get re-elected. If it ends up being Gingrich or Romney(who'm it will likely be), then yes, Obama will have an easy win here. But, If Ron Paul can overcome the media, and if the american people can wake-up from their stupidity & ignorance, then I think Obama will have a challenge in Paul. Obama will still have the votes of latino's, blacks, and gays; but RP can take some of the votes from the dem party, and the independents. Its a 50/50 chance if Paul wins the nominee.
Now, I am keen on Presidential/Australian PM Elections and I predict that the Republican Candidate is having a dark horse chance of winning!!! Obama looks superior on paper compared to any of the republican candidates. PS> My dad reckons George W. Bush is the best President of USA ever..... That is stupid
Usually incumbents only lose when there's a horrible economy and a charismatic challenger (Reagan, Clinton). Obama might have to worry about the first, but certainly not the second. So I think he keeps the White House, though the election will probably be closer than last time.
(jighonky) People like Ron Paul because he's honest. He says get out of war and legalize drunks. Once you get past those few remarks, the rest is ignorant and vial diatribe.
You can't get by without paying taxes! You can't get pay without foreign affairs! Then there's all the racist and homophobic statements that came out under his newsletters. lol Give me a break.
@BeginnningoftheEnd Those newsletters were NOT written by him. And it's not like there were a million of them, there were TWO written by a FREE LANCE writer that Ron Paul didn't hire or even meet. You can look that up, its out there. Someone that actually bothers to research that can find it, don't take main stream medias word for it cause they read from scripts and LIE to you. Don't you know that? LOL And he's talking about the INCOME TAX not ALL taxes. You obviously have your facts FOXED. LOL
lol@jimivaughan420. Things don't get published unless you approve them. And if he didn't, much less even meet the guy, that makes the point even more he's not strong enough to be president! The base doesn't even like him. Look at how he acts, with the constant twitching. Weak views, weaks candidate. Game over.
@BeginnningoftheEnd he's the ONLY candidate that is DIFFERENT... so what your telling me your happy with the way things have been running the past 12 years? The definition of insanity is to do the SAME shit over and over again and expecting DIFFERENT results. Hes the ONLY honest candidate out there. Fuck, in Obamas state of the union address (which was a campaign speech BTW) I counted the first lie 3 mins in. ALL of the other candidates are ALL war mongering assholes, LIKE Obama
@BeginnningoftheEnd I don't need an excuse to bash him, he does just fine by providing the ammo to bash him. I bet you hated Bush didn't you? But you love Obama? WHY? There ONE in the SAME. You just like Obama because hes black, which your wrong. He's half black, but whatever thats really a stupid issue, but for some reason in your eyes a black man can do no wrong. Your an idiot, liking someone just cause he's black and ignoring all the bullshit he is doing is more racist than anything
lmao@jimivaughan420. I voted for Bush and McCain you bafoon. The fact that I'm for Obama now show's how far the base has gone..OFF base. The fact that you injected race shows YOU are the one that's ignorant. Now stfu.
@BeginnningoftheEnd LOL BULLSHIT!!!! You can't lie your way out dude, you voted for Bush and McCain... is that your way to try and win the argument? Lie? LOL I'll take it as I won... later... I'm not that stupid dude... But then again kinda makes sense, if you LOVE Obama then I guess it makes sense to vote for Bush as well... but seriously, lame attempt bro
Honestly, I would like for Obama to get re-elected. I could never take Gingrinch seriously, and Romney is too much of a hypocrite. Paul probably could pose a threat, but he's too far behind in the polls, and I doubt the Republican Party would get behind him.
I heard Bush didn't even really win the 2004 election. Kerry was supposed to win but Bush's minions and his crew screwed with the voting process. Hbo had a documentary on it. I compare the power that George Bush had to the power the Cigarette Smoking man had in the X- Files.
Oh, and am I the only person extremely offended by "pro-life" and "morality" voters? The religious wing of the right have lost their collective mind, as they support huge military efforts (which kill our own and kill people in other countries, including children). In addition, they've backed the most immoral, wife cheating scumbags out there, like Gingrich and Cain. Then you have Santorum, who was one of the most corrupt members of the Senate, and then Romney, who flips & flops on everything.
I will only vote for Ron Paul. Both Romney and Obama have big money backing them, which means they're indebted to the interests that put them in power. Both receive large contributions from Goldman Sachs.
They've tried to smear Ron Paul as being racist, homophobic, anti-Israel, etc. He wants to stop bombing people of color in the middle east & end the drug war. His campaign chair & close friend was openly gay. He supported Israel's bombing of the Osirak reactor in Iraq in 1981.
I don't have a negative/positive opinion on Obama, but he should win re-election because the Republican candidates are so weak. Romney would have the best chance, and would be the only Republican I could potentially vote for(unless Paul gets a miracle run here soon, then it will be close). Gingrich and Santorum(who can go fuck himself, hate him politically) have outside shots in my mind. Gingrich doesn't look trustworthy at all.
I would like Ron Paul to win, Cause he seems the more Coherent and left-wing guy but since it doesn't like he is gonna make the cut. I would MUCH.... MUCH rather Obama than Either Newt Gingrich (Biggest idiot on Earth) or Mitt Romney (1% President, Yes, More than Obama)
Personally, I think the electoral college system is garbage because logically, a candidate could win without even having the majority of the overall vote. It will be interesting to see how Obama responds to the fact that he has done almost nothing promised in '08. Like promising to reduce the debt, add jobs, and end the wars( people don't realize those pulled out of Iraq will eventually end up in Afghanistan.
Very good breakdown. I believe this... Ohio will be the toughest of those three you mentioned as a must win for republicans. I think Newt or Mitt will win NC and maybe even Florida(although FL will be tougher), but I'm hard pressed to see Newt winning Ohio. It just won't happen. Maybe Mitt could win it, but I really don't think so.
IMO the best republican candidate dropped out because of 'scandal'. The next best is Paul, but like you said, he won't win the nomination.
Believe me- Obama is not popular here in Ohio, Obama is going to have a tougher time taking Ohio than the Republicans.. Whoever gets the Republican nomination would be smart to choose a good VP. Despite what people think- that is what won Obama the election in '08- because McCain chose that idiot Sarah Palin
Virginia is too angry at Obama right now to possibly vote Democrat right now so I see that state as a non issue for Romney. Romney will more then likely select Marco Rubio (R Florida) one of the Senators of Florida. Not only would that more then likely lock in Florida but it would also give Romney a huge boost in the Hispanic vote which is VERY important.
@SurvivorSeries07 Here's the problem for the republican candidate. The GOP candidate has to win a ton of swing states to get to 270 electoral votes, while Obama only has to win a few of them. So you think that Mitt Romney can win Virginia and Florida (if he selects Rubio as his running mate). What other swing states will Romney win? Will he carry Ohio? Will he carry Colorado and Nevada? New Mexico? Iowa? It's all gonna come down to electoral college mathematics.
I have to disagree- when you look at it, if Obama gets a 2nd term, he will pass Bush and Carter as the worst presidents. He has massed more debt in 3 short years than all other presidents combined. Quick history lesson- no president in history has ever been re-elected with unemployment over 8 percent. According to the media it's still close to 10 percent- the actual number is well over 15. I will say this- the only two that can beat Obama is Romney(yuck) and my man Ron Paul..
@AirJuvi43 I'm no fan of Obama, but I think he will get re-elected. Yes, we know that no president has ever been re-elected with unemployment over 7.2 percent, but I think Obama will beat the odds because the republican candidates are so weak and many of them are not likeable.
Back in December, it was widely reported that the unemployment rate fell to 8.6 percent (from 9.0), so it isn't reported as being close to 10 percent. Real unemployment is in the mid to high teens though.
My dream would be for Ron Paul to run as an Independent and get exposure like Perot did in '92. I can speak for Ohio- Obama's approval rating is way down- Romney would beat Obama in Ohio- but Obama would edge out Gingrich- there is a large Morman population in Ohio.. If it meant getting Obama out I would vote for Romney. I don't think America can afford 4 more years of Obama- we couldn't afford 4 extra years of Bush. But- I don't think the 2012 election will be a blow out like '08 regardless..
Mitt Romney is the best candidate for the job right now. He is a self made millionaire who no doubt can fix this economy (he is worth an estimated 260 Million). He has a very strong foreign policy stance which is what this country needs right now. He has also allowed 99% of American citizens living in Massachusetts under his reign as governor to have health insurance. With Ron Paul the fact is he is too far right wing and is an extremist and has no chance at getting elected with good reason.
Honestly I'm a teenager and i stay out of politics :P but i can almost promise Obama won't get reelected, I personally have no preference but my history teacher last year said that economy works in cycles, and that it's about 9 years I believe was the number she used...which means no matter what whoever comes next will most likely take the reward of the economic cycle, so whomever wins will most likely get reelected
of course I'm no expert just throwing in my 2 cents
@TheMudlup48 I think Obama has a great chance to get re-elected. If you just look at the electoral college. I think Obama has several different paths to get to the 270 electoral votes needed. Most of the republican candidates are weak and not very likeable. I think if Obama ran against a strong GOP candidate, he would lose. But he's most likely gonna run against a weak and flawed candidate. It's all about the swing states and electoral college math.
@spinnernet1 i will personally have to disagree the new voters, at least in MD, blame Obama for everything, even the adults I know don't like him :/ but i will agree that the republican candidates arent really likable or strong, I just can not imagine Obama getting at least Marylands electoral college votes this time
Ron Paul is Republican's strongest candidate but the media sways voters in a major way. People have been saying Mitt Romney would get the nomination for at least 6 months now.
Anyone that would vote for Obama is completeley blind with politics and the constitution in which he has totally trashed. Newt Gingrich is a theif. mitt Romneys healthcare policy is the same as Obama's, as a matter of fact Obama used Romney's healthcare policy. Rick santorum throws up statistics that aren't accurate, and believes that consenting adults do not have a constitutional right to privacy with respect to sexual rights. Ron Paul 2012 WE NEED A CONSTITUTIONALISTS
I could write an essay on why obama should be re-elected but this is youtube. If bush got re-elected,than obama shouldn't have a problem getting four more years..
@eagleclaww He's not "too old" to be president. That's a terrible reason not to want to vote for someone. Not all old people are "senile" or "could" go senile. Don't generalize like that. There's an excellent chance that Ron Paul can serve 2 terms and have a completely healthy mind throughout. And he's the kind of guy who would do the honorable thing and step down if his health was failing him.
(spinnernet1 ) Congrats for going political (lol been wanting that).
Too many people are suffering right now, 1 out of 6 receive assistance. So for the country to be in love with the GOP, which constantly says cut spending, cut benefits, is absurd. Then again I'm from the state which produced George W. and Rick Perry. So we'll see. lol
@eagleclaww (cont) And as far as him dying in office, that's why you have a vice president. Hell, a young president can get shot and killed in office. We've had 4 presidents get assassinated.
So Far I like Romney he seems to be the best on the economy, i think the republicans have to come more to the middle on the war issue, and they will be ok.... i dont think its gonna be newt
hes catching hell for the moon idea, which i like, we gonna let the chinese get the moon cmon.
I'm a Paul support, but I think his associations with Alex Jones doesn't do him any favors. I'm surprised that the media haven't bought AJ up to hurt Paul. AJ can makes sense from time to time, but there are plenty of times he makes himself sound like a paranoid nutcase. The "Goverment is spying on you through Microsoft Kinect even when it's not connected to the internet" ruined it for me. He's not as bad as David Icke and his Reptilian theory though.
I sincerely hope that Obama doesn't get reelected, because things in this country has just taken a sharper nose dive since he's been in office. I would take even the weakest of Republican candidates over him. One thing to consider, is that no president since FDR has been reelected with unemployment over 7.2%. (Although, the real unemployment number is this country is closer to 15%, if take into account the people that have given up looking for jobs.)
@jeditenihongo Obama has not done as well as he could have. But he has been hampered by a house that is largely against him. He didn't close Guantanamo like he said he would, but he did stop Bin Laden and take troops oit of Iraq and aid Libya in liberation so his foreign policy has been good.
And in the end, would you really vote for some wacko Republican who thinks Evolution is a lie and refuses rights to gay people and wants to ban stem cell research? We live in the 21st century not 1850
Well, for 2 of those Obama years, Democrats had control of 2 branches of gov't, which had succeded in blowing thru the constituional firewalls Within Obama's presidency, he has increased the federal gov't to well beyond it's constiutional limits. Obama has blatant contempt for the constitution, you could see it in his speeches. Moreover, the reason that there's a house to slow down the process is because you don't have all a branch that is despotic.
The worst thing that could happen in this country, is to have a sole president that has absolute power over the country, But, Obama in his speeches sets up these utopian fantasies in his speeches, in only people will surrender their liberty because he knows what's in your best interests rather than you. Prime example, he appoints a watchdog to watch over your interests.
Obama can't even get on the ballot in GA. Plus with all the shit he has pulled killing an american arab citizen overseas, killed ghadaffi without trial, killed tim osman oops bin laden without trial, signed NDAA bill signed ACTA which is worse than SOPA and PIPA, National Debt went from 10 trillion to 16 trillion, extended the patriot act, now trying to get us into WW3 with Iran over speculation of nuclear weapons, voted for the bailouts in 2008, how could people still vote for him?
No matter what my vote is, the person challenging Obama is going to win Texas. Texas is a republican-heavy state, so even if I do vote for Obama, he's not getting the electoral votes of Texas.
@Eclipton True. That's one of the reasons why I don't like the electoral college system. It's like you as a Texan is throwing away your vote by voting for Obama. Your vote is not gonna count in the end because of the winner takes all system that is set up in 48 states.
@314jrock The economy is extremely screwed up. I don't see any president fixing it or reducing our 15 trillion national debt problem. All these candidates (and the president) claim that they can fix the U.S. economy, but none of them truly have a solution to the problem. It's all talk.
BTW I do agree with you on the election that's if Mittens or Newtie get the nomination. If Ron Paul is the nominee, i think it'll be a different story.
@master301000 I would vote for Ron Paul in a heartbeat, but he's very unlikely to get the republican nomination at this point. It looks like either Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich is gonna get it. Ron Paul supporters have been very loyal and passionate and determined, but it doesn't look like Paul will make the general election unless he runs as an independent. And we know this country only elections democrats and republicans to the presidency. Americans need to WAKE UP.
@spinnernet1 That's because we've only had primaries/caucuses in either rural and derptard states! Ron Paul's ideologies strongly lies with the Western US citizens. Needless to say, Paul needs to win the Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona primaries/caucuses if he is to have a chance at the nomination.
@master301000 First of all, I never called americans "stupid" or said that they "weren't smart". I just said they need to wake up and stop supporting these bought and paid for democrats and republicans. Furthermore, there are stupid people all over the world and in every country. There are stupid people in Canada too. I'm not taking a shot at Canada or canadians, but every country has it's fair share of morons and ignorant people, including Canada.
WRONG! Sarah Palin IS GOING TO WIN the nomination and easily PWN Obozo in a landslide! She will be our next and greatest President of ALL TIMES!

Ron Paul by far.

As a Rep. I totally agree with you, we have weak candidates and I think Obama will win but obviously so much can still happen.
woodwwad 1 month ago
Honestly I'm a teenager and i stay out of politics :P but i can almost promise Obama won't get reelected, I personally have no preference but my history teacher last year said that economy works in cycles, and that it's about 9 years I believe was the number she used...which means no matter what whoever comes next will most likely take the reward of the economic cycle, so whomever wins will most likely get reelected
of course I'm no expert just throwing in my 2 cents
TheMudlup48 1 month ago
@TheMudlup48 I think Obama has a great chance to get re-elected. If you just look at the electoral college. I think Obama has several different paths to get to the 270 electoral votes needed. Most of the republican candidates are weak and not very likeable. I think if Obama ran against a strong GOP candidate, he would lose. But he's most likely gonna run against a weak and flawed candidate. It's all about the swing states and electoral college math.
spinnernet1 1 month ago
@spinnernet1 i will personally have to disagree the new voters, at least in MD, blame Obama for everything, even the adults I know don't like him :/ but i will agree that the republican candidates arent really likable or strong, I just can not imagine Obama getting at least Marylands electoral college votes this time

Ron Paul is to old. He can get senile or die while being president.
eagleclaww 1 month ago

So we'll see. lol
BeginnningoftheEnd 1 month ago
@eagleclaww (cont) And as far as him dying in office, that's why you have a vice president. Hell, a young president can get shot and killed in office. We've had 4 presidents get assassinated.

Go4br0keV2 1 month ago
I sincerely hope that Obama doesn't get reelected, because things in this country has just taken a sharper nose dive since he's been in office. I would take even the weakest of Republican candidates over him. One thing to consider, is that no president since FDR has been reelected with unemployment over 7.2%. (Although, the real unemployment number is this country is closer to 15%, if take into account the people that have given up looking for jobs.)
jeditenihongo 1 month ago
@jeditenihongo Obama has not done as well as he could have. But he has been hampered by a house that is largely against him. He didn't close Guantanamo like he said he would, but he did stop Bin Laden and take troops oit of Iraq and aid Libya in liberation so his foreign policy has been good.
And in the end, would you really vote for some wacko Republican who thinks Evolution is a lie and refuses rights to gay people and wants to ban stem cell research? We live in the 21st century not 1850
ChildOfTheWilderness 1 month ago
@ChildOfTheWilderness
Moreover, the reason that there's a house to slow down the process is because you don't have all a branch that is despotic.
jeditenihongo 1 month ago
@jeditenihongo
The worst thing that could happen in this country, is to have a sole president that has absolute power over the country, But, Obama in his speeches sets up these utopian fantasies in his speeches, in only people will surrender their liberty because he knows what's in your best interests rather than you. Prime example, he appoints a watchdog to watch over your interests.
jeditenihongo 1 month ago
Seems to me Obama is more likely to win because the Republicans are so incompetant and crazy than because he is actually popular.

BLACKARACHNID100 1 month ago
The problem that the Republicans have is that they have alienated huge swaths of the electorate with their policy views.
Candidates attacking women's reproductive rights.
Repeated attacks against homosexuals.
Support for profiling in Arizona that targets Hispanics.
Rich Republicans claiming anyone who supports higher taxes on the rich has wealth envy.
Attacks against Medicare alienating the elderly.
Repeated attempts to link poor people with laziness and drug use.
The GOP did it to themselves.

Eclipton 1 month ago
@Eclipton True. That's one of the reasons why I don't like the electoral college system. It's like you as a Texan is throwing away your vote by voting for Obama. Your vote is not gonna count in the end because of the winner takes all system that is set up in 48 states.
spinnernet1 1 month ago
I don't feel like any of the candidates or Obama will really make a change for the best over the next few years.
314jrock 1 month ago
@314jrock The economy is extremely screwed up. I don't see any president fixing it or reducing our 15 trillion national debt problem. All these candidates (and the president) claim that they can fix the U.S. economy, but none of them truly have a solution to the problem. It's all talk.
Good comment.

master301000 1 month ago
@master301000 I would vote for Ron Paul in a heartbeat, but he's very unlikely to get the republican nomination at this point. It looks like either Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich is gonna get it. Ron Paul supporters have been very loyal and passionate and determined, but it doesn't look like Paul will make the general election unless he runs as an independent. And we know this country only elections democrats and republicans to the presidency. Americans need to WAKE UP.
spinnernet1 1 month ago 8
@spinnernet1 That's because we've only had primaries/caucuses in either rural and derptard states! Ron Paul's ideologies strongly lies with the Western US citizens. Needless to say, Paul needs to win the Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona primaries/caucuses if he is to have a chance at the nomination.

There are stupid people in Canada too. I'm not taking a shot at Canada or canadians, but every country has it's fair share of morons and ignorant people, including Canada.
