I have 36s on my 2WD 85 GMC. I got bigger tires XD Nice truck though, I would still rather use a granny 3 or 4 speed out of a 1 ton though. It's what I got in my truck, I got mudding in it all the time. Not even 4x4 but I got super swampers on the back and I've shot 20 foot rooster tails with it. Ain't got stuck in nothing unless I high center it, and with a 8inch difference in front to back it's hard to do that lol.

T-350s and 400s dont have O/D I dont believe???? I have an 85 Chevy C20 with a turbo 400 behind a 427 but then again that is an older tranny so you may be right about that. As for the 2spd alotta that would also depend on what kind of gears you are spinnin. Sorry bout that I was just goin off what I have personally dealt with but everyone and every car is different.
