The trees are sacred guardians of Mother Earth, and it just pains me the way they're regarded as mere fuel or objects to be removed. Each time we destroy a tree we destroy a part of ourselves, and the same of course goes for animals. Thanks to Enya, one of the few who seems to realize the true worth of these wonderful creations.

I'm a soldier, been that way for four and a half years now... miss the trees when I'm over there, been on two tours to the sandbox. I know that for an Abrams tank crewman, this isn't very manly but...

I listen, I look, and I wonder... all of those places, all of those pictures, it makes me wonder how many of those trees were once places where a couple in love shared their first kiss, a moment of quiet love and heat and passion and a special memory endowed upon that small speck of land?

@sunnishalini Thank you, but poetry is... difficult. I am one who is more prone to expounding on my thoughts and musings in my writing. If I could write poetry, it would be to speak to the spiritual matters of things, to help people to come to the realization that Jesus is the Christ and that there is a God in Heaven who created all things, and who, although He knows the stars' names and knows the orbits of them all, also can count all the hairs on our heads. That, in itself, is remarkable to me
