  • @RastaPimpMachinima It's called a "Brain." It's the new instrument from Native Instruments.

  • 1:13 sounds like a real dope scratch

  • @misu200692 I posted that so I can press it any time for repeat :)))

  • Hi Jeremy! I am a big fan of you and im trying to get better and better (even though i cant buy a pad with 16 pads). I wonder at what age you first started learning all this? Thanks for these videos! :)

  • Now THAT!!!! was amazing... Great work sir!!

  • yo love your stuff you have taught me alot about the drum pad. check out my channel peace

  • Always inspiring when I stop in here for my daily drum tutorial. A question, though: adjusting my pads so I can fly across them as nimbly as you do and still get a solid response out of them.....any tips? Is this done in the software that comes with whatever midi controller I might be using, or is it based more in my drum software of choice? Maschine is one of my next purchases, but at the moment I'm using one of those little Akai LPD 8's and my software is Ableton w/Stylus RMX and NI's Battery.

  • Beastie Boys...!!!!!!!!

  • as a turntablist myself i gotta say that was quite impressive very cool man

  • Jeremy, as usual, when I watch one of your vids, I wanna quit. LOL. Amazing. Quick question. To get the scratch samples to play like that, do you mess with the release on the ADSR? I think I kinda got it, but figured I would ask. Let us know when you are playing in the NYC area. I'll be there.

  • @hiphopblues Don't quit now; it's all just getting started! You guessed correctly on the ADSR. Instead of sampling from vinyl, I designed these sounds using various modulations on the same sample, such as reversing it, setting attack and release to imitate fader movement, and some other pitch modulation stuff I learned on youtube. I originally worked on these samples in Reason's NN-XT sampler and later dumped them into Maschine. I use the short Release trick on all kinds of stuff. Try it!

  • @jeremyellismusic Jeremy, thanks for the tips. It's like I am a beginner sax player getting riffs from Coltrane. Cool, I have Reason, so maybe I'll try manipulating the samples there like you said. Thanks for the encouragement.

  • @jeremyellismusic Hey man, I was wondering, I just started mixing and stuff and till now I really fail most of the time, and I find it hard to find music, I am 17 years old now almost 18, but I LOVE music, I really want to learn to make music because I feel like I can express myself better in any other way, but I seriusly am not realkly getting all the buttons and things like that, and its hard for me to learn it out of my heart.Did you have the same problem?

  • Are these samples available for us to use??

Where can we get these same sounds!!? :)

Thanks for all the tutorials Jeremy. We appreciate it very much.

  • Siiiiiiiiiiiickkkkkkkk !!!!

  • Amazing, as the rest of your videos

  • NIIIICE

  • NOW THIS IS SICK!

  • Yes!

  • i expected you to finish using your elbow :P great as always!

  • I exploded.

  • Straight advance technique...

It's hard enuff jus to cross fade with the left hand and scratch. Now finger drumming with the left and right hand finger scratching??? Dang that's ill

  • Will you be releasing any of those kits you perform the lessons with? hook a brother up.

  • @soundtrak00 i agree 100, hook us up J!
