In my point of view: love has no boundaries but is repressed by the ideals of humanity but no matter what you do in the end its still there and if it is not expressed u will die with regret and be stuck with "what if" for eternity and I'm OK with incest so long as it is in the same generations not parent and child.
And if it was me i would rather die knowing that i was with the one i loved than knowing that i served the ideals of a population that i do not even know or will probably never meet

Can someone clarify whether the instrument doubling the melody with the violins is a flute or not? It sounds like a flute, but a bit woodier and more mellow like a clarinet. If it wasn't a flute, my best guess is a traditional eastern flute.

Actually the way I saw it and especially the final arc, I think the themes and symbolism found in the anime were sort of against incest. I think your looking at it in a way that wasn't intended, but no interpretation is wrong I guess.
The point about willingly conceiving sick children is just as controversial (and not found in this anime). It's not so much about the parents' love/ acceptance as it is the physical health of the child being jeopardized and societal acceptance.
on the last episode of this anime i couldn't sort out what was going on? because sora was going into the river or lake to drown herself or purify..and then haru came and they both drowned?so...does mean they died? or were they saved? because then they were inside the train.. o-o

These are literally games that make you cry. KEY is a famous producer of such melodrama VNs. AIR, Kanon, Clannad (This VN doesn't have any 18+ materials at all), Little Busters (Started off as an all-ages but got a 18+ expansion afterwards) and now Rewrite, an all-ages action VN, featuring Ryukishi07.
