  • Those things are like swimming roaches, they should all be destroyed

  • question: with a filter in your tank, did you need to manually clean the tank at all?

  • i had a huge triops called jack then he died...

  • Cool, you feed yours carrots, too? XD

  • I am going to feed guppies to my Triops once they arrive in the mail... and then.. hatch.. and then... grow? And then GUPPY FEEDING TIME!! Dun Dun Dun!

  • klasse

  • lol the one flipped along with the music

  • my friend got me a kit and i have a 2.5 gallon long tank at hand. Can you give me any tricks on hatching the eggs

  • ive tried to hatch triops once didint work probably cause i dont have a heating lamp at the moment i am attemptng sea monkeys

  • I would need some advice...

  • Wow so many triops! I'm gonna get mine at Dec.16,2011.

  • I want to try an experiment with a large fish tank (or maybe several connected) and have a coexistence of trilobites and some fish. I haven't been able to find anything on youtube, anybody have some direction to point me in please?

  • @120Stevo There is a reason why triops live only in temporary pools. There are no fish cause the pools dry out. Any fish would make quick work of any triops in the tank.

  • jesus christ thats alot of freakin triops

  • so if they 're all dead you just let the sand dry for 2 weeks and then just put new water in it and you (should) get new one's?

  • Now THAT'S how you triop like a pro!

  • so whats everything you fed them, how long did they live, what size tank is that, and are you selling any eggs?

  • ooh they are so cute i felt like krying cause they are dead wwwwaaaaaaaaaaaa:(

  • holy fucking shit in my pants thats alot u must of put alot of eggs in there

  • wow tht is alot of triops

i actually have these now only about 10 of them though i hav them just to make a bit of money of as i already had a tank lying around do u no how many eggs they lay a day and stuff cause i plan on just selling the sand and btw i dont expect to be a millionaire of this more like maybe a few hundred if im lucky

my tank setup is pretty similar only problem is tank can go very cloudy if there arnt enough water changes

  • damnit im baked and now i wanna go to hawaii even more then normal just because of this song

  • Fcuking beautiful tank setup. Those triops look super happy.

  • what kinda of substrate is that

  • If only I could afford a huge tank to put them in :D

  • How do you collect the eggs from the sand? What is your method?

  • @SgtHamster45 you don't. once the triops are dead just extract the sand and then dry it. leave it for 2-3 weeks or put it in a container and ure boiler or summet and once it dries you can just add water and more triops will grow. U usually get more sucess this way then just using eggs from the kit as well just use sum new water mixed with some old tank water.

  • @Spongeb0bSqu4repants

u put all the sand back? thats like...a million eggs=a million triop babies that will die=a few survivors

  • @SgtHamster45 not all the eggs hatch. A lot of them do and everytime I've done it if its in a decent sized tank theres still usually 30+ adults. And you don't have to put all the sand back aswell. My brother actually collected the sand and sold loads of packets of it on ebay lol.

  • raw carrots?

  • they're a lot! how do you feed them? what's that orange "thing" on the bottom of the tank?

  • @Alessandrominis chopped up carrots, main things I used to feed them were this pellet food, carrots (mainly) and worms

  • @Spongeb0bSqu4repants ok thank's. You know, I've had a few longicaudatus this year and last year, but nothing more than two or three triops per time. how did you get all those ones in just one time

    ??

  • there is no overfeeding risk? because the instructions of my kit said that if I feed too much my longicaudatus they will explode!

  • @Alessandrominis nah thats probably talking about the triops food supplied with the kit. And its not overfeeding its more if you give them too much then the food will go uneaten and make the water dirty which is why you only feed them a little bit at first. Once they get bigger put in small pieces of carrots.

  • aww, i got some yesterday but the havnt hatched yet :P

  • omg thats asom !
