@myspareaccount303 - I'm not sure about the details of the epidemic itself - those sorts of details seem to me to be very hard to determine. About the HIV tests... I suppose they aren't any more sensitive or specific than those for other viruses. But still, since 60% of all reported AIDS cases in the US are now deceased (92% of those detected before 1985), early detection is something to strive for. There is no "aids", it's a collection of previously known diseases thrown in a bucket. When you test "positive" on the non specific "hiv" test, and you have one of the 30 diseases in the bucket it's called "aids". BUT when you're "negative" and you have one of the diseases, it's called by its old name! All the "aids" diseases are NON SPECIFIC. They can occur in "neg" or "pos" people. This video is true, but they only give half the story. Even with a good immune system, it also depends on the rout of entry. Vaginal/ Anal or paranteral, the latter of which is more dangerous (ie. more likely).
Also your immune system can only get rid of the virus via antibody, NK cells and complement ,while the virus is free in the blood or tissues, but once the HIV virus eneters Cd4+ helper cells, it is very difficult to eliminate.
If your immune system is good when you first come in contact with HIV then you can kill it. If you already have HIV and then try to remove HIV by improving your immune system it would be very difficult but it is possible.

I am positive that their is a place for healing mediums beyond western Medicine. We need to identify scientifically what works and what does not. Western Medicine has impressive successes and failures. Neurofeedback, I have lived with Epilepsy my entire life, I may be aware of some of the Neurological treatments. Question the experts, because a degree only means they legally can PRACTICE and PRESCRIBE, quality is questionable. Doctors are not gods they are people. =)

De Harven was being disingenuous, and you were told how...in order to have a reliable sample volume for experimentation and evaluation, a consistent source is required---since Electron microscopy is destructive, scientists would need a large number of HIV patients sitting around to draw blood from in order to do their work...it is HUGELY impractical. The other aspect is that reliable and repeatable culturing is a required proof of concept.

@unimog2012 Smallpox takes over your body and kills you quickly. Because of this, it has no reason to mutate. Smallpox antigens retain the same structure and just like that we have a vaccine. Now, HIV. A virus that kills slowly, lyes dormant, and infects an effector immune cell. As you fight off HIV, it has incredible pressure to mutate. One or two viruses will survive and the process will repeat. The structure continually change, and thus a vaccine can't be made.

These viruses integrate themselves into their host's genome and are capable of remaining latent for years or even decades. This is not new knowledge. 3) I think you are saying "why hasn't it expanded into other risk groups?" Well, it has... and anything that exposes one person's body fluid to another's blood will be risky - so you could predict which groups will be considered "at risk."

@myspareaccount303 - I'm not sure about the details of the epidemic itself - those sorts of details seem to me to be very hard to determine. About the HIV tests... I suppose they aren't any more sensitive or specific than those for other viruses. But still, since 60% of all reported AIDS cases in the US are now deceased (92% of those detected before 1985), early detection is something to strive for. Also, I'm confused about your channel - I can't really decipher your cause. Help?

There is no "aids", it's a collection of previously known diseases thrown in a bucket. When you test "positive" on the non specific "hiv" test, and you have one of the 30 diseases in the bucket it's called "aids". BUT when you're "negative" and you have one of the diseases, it's called by its old name! All the "aids" diseases are NON SPECIFIC. They can occur in "neg" or "pos" people. This video is true, but they only give half the story. Even with a good immune system, it also depends on the rout of entry. Vaginal/ Anal or paranteral, the latter of which is more dangerous (ie. more likely).
Also your immune system can only get rid of the virus via antibody, NK cells and complement ,while the virus is free in the blood or tissues, but once the HIV virus eneters Cd4+ helper cells, it is very difficult to eliminate.

I don't think there's an effective way to address immunodeficiency looking through the window of HIV. If you're able to see beyond HIV, you can see this study by Universidad Autonoma de Madrid where it is shown how stress DOES affect the decline of CD4:

Western Medicine has impressive successes and failures. Neurofeedback, I have lived with Epilepsy my entire life, I may be aware of some of the Neurological treatments. I am also living proof, having tested positive for HIV 19-years ago. I never took any antiviral drugs and remain very healthy today.
Isn't it amazing how much hatred we attract by simply posting on a website the fact that we're still alive and never took the AIDS drugs??? For some reason, people out there don't want to believe we exist.

Ignore transtlantic. He is a nonintellectual. He looks at a paper that says our research is accurate and he believe is.
He is the kind of person who believes anything someone with a science degree says. If RObert Gallo said you can get HIV from sucking on a woman's feet, he would believe it because Gallo wrote it.
He is also a med student so he worships the new church of science. For him to believe what you say would shatter is world view.
