@EKiSBOI I have never heard jason coming up with epic long space songs like plainsong or one more time... This is something that we all miss nowadays.

To play slow and simple is way more difficult than to play faster and lots of notes.

I don't understand why people don't like jason. It allcame from the first album that Jason was on being not as well received as overs and you can't blame an albums failure on the drummer who honesty isn't that bad. Half the people who don't like him only dislike him because they think they have to cling to the bands first members to appear like genuine fans, which is sad and an insult to the band's creative identity itself.

Well... The guy is good as a drummer (this song proves that); the problem with Jason is the drumkit he chose. It sounds too dry and quite weak. "High" has a drum pattern almost as good and as complicated as "The Only One"... but the latter in the studio version sounds quite awful. Jason seems to focus his playing on the cymbals rather than on the percussion itself. Anyway, I guess the drumkit problem is everyone's fault in the band.

I agree, but his kit is designed to fit the latest album, which is why it sounds odd on most of the Cures earlier songs. But I saw Jason skillfully reinvent Killing an Arab, which honestly blew me away. Either way he isn't a bad drummer. The fans are just whining because of faux-pa rock snobbery.
