They were right to mention Dark Knight in the number. It would have been a more suspenseful show if it were nominated for best film. It's not perfect, but it really is an achievement. and probably had more significance to the industry than the others.

Because it's not only about the Actors, Directors, Writers, etc. There is a lot that goes into making a film, and each role is just as important as the other. That's kind of like asking why they still give benefits to the plant workers at GM when it should be all about the CEO's.
