Im sorry for this comment but. . . what kind of German doesnt manuever after a bogey gets on his 6 for a long while. I mean, the Germans where the first to make basic but strong principled rules for Air to Air combat.

nice videos...but...the thirdwire sims are very arcadey and poorly modelled in flight and on the ground. if ppl want a WW1 flight sim experience they should checkout Over Flanders Fields Phase 3.

my point is that for those who like what they see, and want to experience a combat flight sim for ww1 types, THIS is not the game to get. For those who dont worry about the accuracy and realism, then this is a good choice. This is similar to XBox type games...beautiful to look at, but terribly inaccurate.

but you need a good pc to get the most out of it.

it really is amazing....not perfect, but head and shoulders above the rest.

over flander's fields is also good...they are both very different- you'd enjoy either.

i've got first eagles and it's good, not great but good. would you recommend getting the expansion pack? and is there a big difference?

i have it and the expansion pack. no, i wouldnt recommend getting it. you get some more planes..everything else is the same.

Its OK I guess, but the AI stinks, wingmen don't help you out or even stay near you, enemies aren't real smart either, Red Baron 3D with mods is still way better if you want some real dogfighting that keeps you addicted. But neither one has a mission editor worth a dime. If only CFS2 had decent AI, it would have been the best flight sim ever....every last thing is customizable in CFS2, any plane can be added; you can enter in a latitude and longitude and go there...amazing.
