I was that "liar" on the forums who distributed the fake alpha soundtrack, and now I'm trying to get DJ Dain (The original author of the song) the credit he deserves! Be sure to spread the word. There never is/was a song called Path of Borealis, I just put some fake titles in and "leaked" it for fun amongst a private group, until Grigori (owner of the forums) distributed it.

It does annoy me when I can find plenty of evidence (From file creation and modification dates) as well as hidden MP3 Tags, that I planted it as a false soundtrack.

One main one is that most people think the bloody Airex song was done by an ARTIST, not composer Viktor Antonov or whatever his name is, because I forgot VALVe's composers' name.

Years ago I "leaked" this song as part of a so called "alpha soundtrack" for half-life 2 onto the Father Grigori boards and it was then accepted by a lot of very gullible and stupid community members who refused to believe that Viktor Antonov didn't make any form of music for Half-Life 2... It has since earned the retitle "path of the borealis".

The real song is Dj Dains "That Long Train Ride". I'm sure he'd be quite happy to prove it's his own work, and VALVe have also stated numerous times that it's not an official song.

@PvtMarx45 Viktor? There were no minor edits by "Viktor". I put "Viktor Antonov" in the mp3 tag because it was the only name from VALVe I remembered. Viktor is a concept artist, not a composer; Kelly Bailey was VALVe's composer at the time, but VALVe had nothing to do with the songs creation except creating the original "Triage at Dawn" and the sound sample of the TV set at the end.

@PvtMarx45 I don't have any new or alternate accounts. This is the only one I've used since 2005-2006ish. I didn't make the song but I know enough about it after having had to prove that I leaked a fake "alpha soundtrack" when I was young and dumb, that contained songs from other games. I still have the original RAR file it was sent in with the original text descriptions and modify dates. I did try my hand at making a remake of the song (on my channel) but it's not very good.
