I just recently bought two VFX boards. one of r the previous owners told me I might be able to install floppy drives in them and upgrade them to SD's. Is this possible. They have the drive bays in them. Please message me if you know anytheing about this. Thanx.
I recently got a VFX. I think it has some of the worst preset sounds in synth history. However, once you use your imagination to program something interesting, it can be one of the coolest, most unique synths. Plus, the interface is pretty easy, and once you get used to the Poly-aftertouch, its kick ass.
Poly after touch is the ability to control one key's aftertouch independently from the other keys... Say you play a C Chord right? Say you apply aftertouch to the E key in the chord.... Only that key will be affected and the rest will not be... With standard after touch, all keys would be affected...
@scott93257 The first one is Key and the second is Channel After touch. Wish I had a KB that could send Key AT. The ESQ can respond to both types. Pretty cool huh.
hey , are you stuck in 1982 ? i may possibly know how to escape . . .nice quality though , sounds like it was recorded through my grans transistor radio but i guessed this was a deliberate degrading of signal for maximum ' bad 80's recording ' ?effect
This is a demo of the synth. A finished recorded soundtrack that has been put out on youtube. It is not pointless nor a waste of internet space. It sounds great.
I have a VFX-SD with OS 2.00 floppy (megapiano etc..) for sale in north London (UK) if anyone's interested.
Works perfectly except for the preset 8 button which can easily be fixed.
Has had the solder fix done years ago and works perfectly.
