I think a woman is better off with an older man, someone who is mature and who she can look up to. It will not work to be with a guy just because he is young and handsome, he has to have a lot of values and be strong and wise, otherwise he is dead in the water. It does not matter how much baggage the guy has, if only he could keep his mouth shut and treat the woman probably without being negative on his past relationships, then it will work.

Why does the woman have to look up to the man? Why can't it just be level? Also, it absolutely matters how much baggage he has, since it will affect their relationship. Very few people are able to not be negative about past relationships.

To write it short, even though it is hard to do -- the man is the protector and also, the one who has the lowest feelings have the power. The amount of power is never equal, it is impossible. And I think a rational woman want a man she can look up to and it means, he has slightly more power than her, not much (equals respect). Regarding baggage - I agree very few people can do that, but it is because they don't like to improve themselves.

@TheArtOfLove If a woman can look up to a man it will build attraction, but if a woman is higher socially, economically or more stable and wiser it will not build attraction in the man.

And maybe it's just because I am just 30, but I at least have no negativity about any of my past relationships and I never hear any of my friends being negative about theirs. They were just fun learning experiences.
