Going from paper to electronic may have some impact on the NYT, but what's really causing this paper to tank is the fact that they continue to hire moronic left wing tabloid writers. The New York Times recently spent over a 100 million dollars building this huge skyscraper on 8th avenue. They should of just stayed where they wher. That is why they are now in trouble. Twin Fair a department store chain did the same thing during the 70s. They went crazy building all new stores. 2 years later they went bankrupt. Money wasted on glitz. Same thing with New York city transit. They wasted money on glitz. Much cheaper rebuilding all the older buses, and trains.
