everyone looking for tabs... just watch him play it or even flea play it... you can see exactly what they're doing... it's not the easiest thing to play but it's simple to figure out. and after playing it 4 or 5 times, it's not that hard to play either.

No hay duda de que tocas muy bien, nose si lo sacaras de oido o tendras tabs, pero d cualquier manera no me gusta nada copiar estos solos de flea. Son música espontánea que el improvisa y q muestra como se siente en un momento, es irrepetible. Improvisate algo con distorsion en la misma escala y dale con around the world :-)

How can you call Flea's solos mediocre? He is definetly one of the best out there right now, this video is just an example of the technicality of Flea's style, he covers all areas just about, has plenty of melodic, hard and fast, and funk lines, definetly better then most going today. Theres plenty out there that I'm sure you havent seen. It's your opinion so fair enough, but I disagree. Although can I ask what you define as mediocre about his work's? Just interested

I have to say that Flea is absolutely unbelievable, but Wooten or Jaco have wayyy better solos.

Not saying that Flea's solos arent good, but they dont stick with me like some of the Jazz bassists.

i can totally see where your coming from. I mean fleas solos are awesome, and since flea is the one who introduced me to the magics of bass i cant doubt that. But Wooten does use so many more techniques in his solos that can give him an edge - eg he uses double thumbing, and ive never seen flea do that. Techniquely, Wooten is better than Flea, but flea has the edge because he collaborates his skill with his band to create a tone which easily overthrows just a bass on its own.

Flea said so himself that he prefers to make and play simpler bass lines---it leaves more room to improvise at lives, so his solos might not sound too complex--but there certainly is good emotion in it.

It's a normal price but if you want an overdrive for bass use the EHX Big muff Russian Version or the BOSS ODB-3.They're way better then the Digitech Multieffects.
