As a former aggressive inline skater myself, from 1997-2003 I have seen the ups and downs. Even after I stopped skating, I still check up on the sports in terms of its innovation, and popularity. Not much has changed; in fact, Even during my college years I remember looking for daily bread magazine only to find out that it dissolved completely. Aggressive inline has never really had strong companies, most of them would either go bankrupt or change ownership. It sucks.

I am not saying that it is not a great sport, I think it is one of the most fun action sports to watch. Some of my best years were aggressive skating. My point is that aggressive inline never had strong roots. Once upon a time you could walk into any sports retail chain and find aggressive inline skates. Its not like that anymore, you have to order them from magazines or speciality stores. Not too mention solomon dropped their aggressive skating department.

It is pretty sad to this great action sport really go down hill. unfortunately, Aggressive inline has always lurked in the shadows behind BMX and skateboarding. Aggressive inline truly peaked in the mid 90's then died down and then tried to revive itself in the millennium; however it was not enough to garner attention. It gets the least coverage, for christ sake, the x-games don't even recognize it anymore. It has really become a struggling action sport.

There is lot of types.. its about your skating style... its hard to choose first skates, because in real shops isnt too much skates.... you have to buy them on internet... try look at comments and forums about skates.. i use USD Throne, but i think xiado or races are better
