I agree with all the comments from Mouth and everyone. I listened to this one on the radio, and Dave Maloney who does the commentary needed to be restrained when this happened. It'd be nice if more of the current Rangers had that kind of heart. More than anything this incident highlights that there is something wrong with the chemistry of this team, and shows their need a big defenseman with grit. Opponents crash Lundqvist night after night without fear, and you can't win that way.
this team is embarassing. not even just the toughness of the team, but the heart and desire arent there either. every game, they just get harder and harder to watch. it's sickening.

I don't know how scared Torts has the players, and maybe, just maybe Girardi and Del Zotto were scared of taking a penalty for being the 3rd man in, BUT even if Torts did sit them down for a game as punishment, they would've had the respect of every other player in that dressing room, even if they lost the game, which happened anyway. A sad state when Avery is the only weapon left.

I usually like Girardi's game but over the last week he has really taken a nose dive, maybe he is exhausted ? no excuse there. You gotta ask yourself, which defenseman would allow that to happen to MG ? then either coach them how to play it right or jettison them. end of story.
