  • but christianity has the largest part of truth because?

  • Jesus Christ is the Truth John 14:6, the Bible is true,God is perfect, true, holy, and sovereign, even Jesus enemies have nothing bad to say about our Lord, the Savior, the Messiah, the Son of God,God the Son,King of Kings and Lord of Lords,God in the Flesh, he was perfect and sinless, He claimed to be God,He did things only God can do, he died for our sins, as our substitute, he has done it all, and we follow and trust in the risen Living Lord, who conquered death, all others are dead and in the grave

  • The question I would pose is: 'Can any One religion prove to possess the entire Truth?'

  • Sorry but the REAL issue is how do we align the conscious living of our lives with that of what life offers us. How do we successfully and fruitfully navigate the inevitable transitions from birth, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, middle age, old age and death. It has NOTHING to do with a relationship to an ancient father 'god' character. It has everything to do with our identification with life itself and to the universe as a whole.

  • So your religion is right and every other one is wrong. Bullshit! Its funny how a study showed 99% of religious followers retain the religion they were born into. Hes no different.

  • I remember God explaining to me the diff using the analogy of pure H2O. No1 can live without it n we need it 2 survive. Even tho there are MANY drinks that contain some % of H2O in them the rest is made up with "fillers". However NOTHING can replace pure H2O. MANY religions have "some" truth in them bcus man is made in the image of God. But bcus they r man made they contain fillers/additives. However Jesus stands out fm the rest as the pure and living water. No fillers, no additives. PURE LIFE.

  • @LJCampbell25 How does he stand out!? Jesus was a deluded charlatan, the jewish records tell us this. Im atheist by the way, not a jew case you thought i was. Religions are all man made.

Mark Twain once wisely said, "The easy confidence with which I know another mans religion is folly teaches me to suspect that my own is also".

  • @philhunter2005 Jesus stands out for the mere fact that we can't keep Him out of our mouths. LoL No disrespect, but I can't take what you say meritoriously because even atheists will agree that his wisdom was FAR beyond common man's (even Dawkins acknowledged that). Also I agree that religions ARE man made. True 'religion' actually derives from a RIGHT relationship with God. THAT is what God desires...relationship NOT religion. When we realize that nugget of truth we will stop assuming in error.

  • @LJCampbell25 That is not a fact im afraid and is a very weak case for christianity. Atheists will not agree on this im afraid, i personally think he was not a good moral teacher. He brought in the doctrine of hell and told people not to worry about tomorow or their families and abandon them to follow him. As for the relationship with god, yes that could be true but it is hard to hav a relationship with sumone uve never met.

  • its interesting how participants in every religion experience similar holy feelings when they pray, which light up the same area in the brain. and when you consider that religious 'visions' and 'experiences' are common across all religions, doesn't that suggest what we know as god isn't an external force, but a state of mind acheived through meditation? there are interesting studies on how prayer affects your brain, i.e. it develops to become more responsive to prayer/meditation with practice.

  • How could people's brain states tell you whether or not God exists?

  • that isn't what i was saying, personally i don't believe in god. its pretty obvious if you actually read it - i was suggesting that most religious experience as common to all religions - feelings of religious ecstasy, contentment and peace with the world - is in fact a state of mind reached through the intense meditation of praying. the part of the brain that creates these 'holy feelings' can be improved by doing it regularly. like a calming technique but a bit more intense.

  • @bobzilla211 Just wondering if u practice meditation since you listed only benefits from meditation. One would conclude that we all should meditate then if it brings us peace and contentement, etc; the underlying premise then would be if we all would meditate the world would be a better place. Any thoughts?

  • @RisaRN well we'd be spending a lot more time thinking for a start - surely there's nothing wrong with that. regular meditation might make for a more contemplative person. as for a more rational, less ignorant, more humane person...i'm less sure about those. i think its more likely these are qualities found in the type of people who choose to devote their lives to deep thinking than traits picked up through meditation. as far as 'making the world a better place' goes, well, its a nice dream.

  • Agree all the way. like the metaphor of the arsenic XD and the overall explanation!!! gud job mate ! x)

  • Actually, this is a tolerant video. I don't agree with it all but I am glad that he can admire and tolerant people of other beliefs while believing them to be wrong in their disbelieve that Jesus is the way.

  • Excellent video!! Greg explains things very clearly! 5/5
