I grew up in South Florida and loved this show so much! I never forgot it. I was a Grave Digger. Thank-you for posting this. Such a wonderful wAy to weather the 50's & 60's there. Such a funny talented man!
Take a look at the comic strip videos of M.T. Graves on this webpage!
"M.T. Graves Classics" A comic strip created by Charlie Baxter Billy Small and G.G. Faircloth! The 3 of us got together in April 2007 and created this comic strip idea! Charlie dreamed it up! Billy named it! and I drew it!
I was on Charlie Baxter and Willy the Moose. I can't believe the things that are still around for viewing. Thanks for posting. Never missed the Sat. morning movies.
I recently got a vanity plate w/MTGRAVES on it. I'm sure it freaks out the locals, but anyone from South Florida in the late 50's and 60's will recognize it. Do you remember MTSPACE? Anyone recall "Jumpin' Jack's 4 o'clock Club?" from beautiful downtown Perrine? Banjo Billy and Skipper Chuck?
Eureka!! Over the years I've picked up bits and pieces of footage on a number of horror hosts, but never the one from my own "monster kid" days. Thanks for this.
The Fall Issue M.T. Graves Tribute of Scary Monsters Magazine is out now and can be ordered at their website! Also their 2009 Yearbook Issue with more M.T. Graves Info. can also be ordered now! Famous Monsters In Filmland Magazine has #6 Re-Issue from 1960's
with M.T. Graves First Appearance in that magazine can be ordered at the Famous Monsters Website, too!
Yes me to! I see FM is reprinting a special Issue with M.T. Graves on the cover!
Brand new 50th Anniverscary limited edition reissue of FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND #6 (1960) with the infamous "MT GRAVES" sticker on the front cover. Magazine is just like the original. This special stickered version of FM #6 is believed to have been originally distributed in Florida to promote the local "MT Graves Dungeon" show on NBC-TV Channel 7. Only a handful of copies
of the original version of this issue have surfaced over the years and it is not known how many were actually released or if the stickers were applied after initial newsstand distribution. But we are pleased to offer a version of the FM #6 reissue with an authentic reproduction of the original sticker applied for those fans who'd like to have this version in their collections. Note that this version is identical in content to the STANDARD COVER version except for the MT GRAVES sticker.
A fan of M.T. Graves told me that when he went to fight in Vietnam he kept his Gravesdiggers membership card with him as he trudged through swamps and war experiences in Vietnam. It helped him to feel stronger and safer and braver as he went forward in all of those horrible Vietnam war moments. He and his grandfather and grandmother and parents and siblings shared lots of weekends watching M.T. Graves in the dungeon! They all loved him! M.T. was part of his family!

What a wonderful clip saved for eternity. RIP Charlie Baxter. You made us kids laugh every Saturday on WCKT/Ch7/Miami.
Remember Len Jasco, Jack Leverenz (RIP), staff directors at WCKT.
Thanks for posting a classic.
