The German patriarch on Father's side came to colonial America around 1770. Old as the connection is, I appreciate most things German. As a child, I pretended I was a young student in Germany, had a good imagination. As an adult, I've made my living as a musician, and I've always looked up to German music.

Oh, wonderful brass music. Sometimes I wish I play tuba still. I'm sure if I was in Germany there would be many opportunities.
