  • hello noticed you had a 3 day online class coming up, please let me know how to get into it.

    Thank you

  • what brush are you using?

  • I've been working on landscapes, have a ways to go - great work!

  • Simplement beau!

  • That was a fantastic video, really like the loose impressionistic brush strokes, and your a great teacher, thanks for making the vid :)

  • @ome69 Thank you! :)

  • thx for this vid , i hav to do kind of this watercolor works too :D

  • @spiriaz Thanks! :)

  • where did you get your paint tray and othe supplies (like the water cup and sponge?) thankyou(:

  • @TheBritishchick101 The paint tray was customized for me - it started out as one that held pans but my husband made an insert for it. The watercup I bought from an art store and the sponge is a kitchen sponge.

  • I'm just starting out doing watercolor and this video is a great help, thanks

  • @goodvibesallround You're welcome! :)

  • I went to your site and cannot figure out how to sign up for your classes..

  • @psktechie The class has ended BUT I have a 3 day online watercolor workshop coming up in March 2012. Would you like more info on that?

    :) vinita

  • Great stuff. The painting turned out great!!!!

  • @youcanpainttv Thank you! :)

  • I liked this video because it gave a lot of info. were did you get your watercolors?

  • @patrickwellerwrites Thank you! I buy my watercolors online, usually from Daniel Smith.

  • I used the Shazam app on my phone and it says the song is "Signora Disponga" by Enrico Alvisi. I think it's Italian. But I can't find it ANYWHERE on the internet. Searches come up with nothing and it's certainly not on iTunes. I like your videos, they are lovely and informative for a beginning watercolor painter, but where did you get this song?

  • awesome! what kind of brush are you using?

  • i was scared at 8:18... thought you had ruined it until you put in the trunks later. its REALLY good. i just started painting right after my 16th birthday about six months ago, and i love painting landscapes. its so fun!

  • I like it but i would have left out the trees on the right.

  • Very nice painting! I wonder if you were painting wet on wet because I see that there is no time for the water color to set. However, the paint doesn't seem to get loose.

  • That would look lush on my wall, and you could talk all night about in my ear with your sexy voice.

  • @daveswildcamping seriosly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That was very enjoyable to watch. I paint in acrylics and find watercolours a bit difficult. You make it look so easy. Lovely painting. Greetings from Greece.

  • you made gray out of what?

WOW! my eyes have been opened!

    thx

  • @felren13 I think I used yellow ochre, cerulean blue and a little bit of burnt sienna.

  • great lesson and website--thanks

  • My Art II teacher made us do this...

  • @Kijiriko Oh no! I hope you got a good grade on it :)

  • @vinitapappas

    Hopefully.

    Be proud!

  • I want a squirrel hair round brush like that. What are the advantages of the squirrel hair round compared to a nylon hair round?

  • great vid. where can i get a paintbox like yours? i'll visit your site. thanks :)

  • @ivemeister My paintbox is a customized...started with a metal palette made to hold pans but my husband made an aluminum insert for me.

  • Beautiful painting and great instructions, just wondering what is the song called that is at the start and end of your video?

  • @miierz Sorry, I don't remember the name. I think I purchased it through iStock.

  • I like quite well!

    Tom

  • Lovely painting, clear instructions and interesting technic

When you painting the foreground do you use wet on dry since white spots that left hard to make when it's wet on wet. Like the texture that you create.

    Best of luck

  • @igemini48 Yes, I believe the foreground was done wet on dry. Thanks :)

  • Thanks everyone :)

  • I was going to click away from this to look for a portrait video, but I'm so glad I didn't. This taught me a lot in this short time, especially the sky part with the clouds. Thank you so much for this video! You are truly a fantastic artist!

  • @DayxLi Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the video.

  • Very Nice Vinita!

  • I love how you explain what you are doing. Thanks, I'm a beginner and it is helpful to know the thought process behind it.

    Thanks

    Vicki

  • @knittingdragonflies Thanks Vicki!

  • Great work! Your brush perform excellent! What kind is it? Must be Kolinsky?

  • @02011982 Thank you! You can read about my brushes on the forum at create38.com

  • Great !!!

  • Great !!!

  • Thank you!

@jcfetzer My palette is custom-made. My husband took a small half pan palette, gutted it and machined a part for the center that has 15 wells. So it's a one-of-a-kind!

  • love the painting and really love the sky.

  • Very nice job. What brand of palette do you use? It looks like it hold 15 half pans? I'm looking for a small metal travel palette and your's looks perfect. Thanks.

  • I love your confident technique and colours. Stunning painting. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • GREAT WORK!!!

  • Great video - beautiful painting.

  • Thanks and you're welcome!

  • That's great. Thanks so much for sharing
