the sound effect at 0:27 is the EXACT SOUND used in Linkin Park's "1 stp klosr", the remix of "One Step Closer" on Reanimation. And when I say exact, I mean, compared in a music editor, exact. How does that even HAPPEN?!!!
My first real intro into ambient was FSOL's 1994 "Lifeforms". This is one of the finest tracks I have heard since then or EVER. This is a Masterpiece. Hands down. My God what an Amazing Song. Light & Love .....

Well trippy soundtrack that could have done with more input in the visuals department because in this case one interesting image is simply not enough to compliment the aural delight. This is going into my favourites : )
Wow. Well constituted and thought out comments, both stating valid points of which I would completely agree. My opinion? This song is frickin SICK!!! I DIG IT!!!
A stunning piece. Top seed. Conspicuous feature in this kind of music (ambient/space/electronic/IDM) is that overall quality is clearly HIGHER, than in other genres. In other words, there are more QUALIFIED artists here, than in other modern-music fields. Differently LIKE in Jazz-, or in Classical-music (or even certain ethnic-music) within their diversified forms.
I definitely agree with you that this music is top notch, however, we must always remember that for some people it isn't. Some people enjoy other kinds of music we may not. Their opinions are equally valid because the concept of truth is an elusive one, if such a concept is even a reality in the first place, that is.
@TheSolarSpy The only concept one need know of truth is that like time, it is relative, and therefore there is no one "truth". Perception is reality, is it not?
@TheSolarSpy May I politely disagree? Good taste must be acquired. Leonard Bernstein was at a party in NYC once, and saw a woman 'admiring' a painting. "Do you know art, Ma'am?" "Well," she said, "I don't know anything about art; but I know what I like." Bernstein remarked, "Lady, so does a cow." Yeah, a bit elitist, perhaps. But I rather doubt Snoop Doggy-Dog's "works" will be studied in major conservatories in 300 years...
there does seem to be a lot of creativity here, I mean, humans are creators and it seems to me that the enterprising human mind, the truly creative one, can often be attracted to the field which -at the time- gives them the most creative leeway - right now, that is the computer ^_^

@TheSolarSpy its only when we open our minds to all possibilities, and accept everyone's view, can we find our true selves and the Truth itself.
