I have noticed most of the parts are available in a .30 OS Graupner wankel.

you have to make a crank shaft similar to a 13B, I assume the engine is assembled in the same way as a Mazda engine.

what interests me is how thick is the output shaft?.

This is a nice Wankel engine you built. Could you give me the specs on how to put one together? Also if you don't mind taking suggestions do you think that if you made an intake manifold with one carb, or maybe even a bigger carb that you could achieve the reliability your looking for on idle? It seems to be a little too rich upon idling.

Hiya mini13B, wicked engineering you got there.

Elsewhere on the tube there are some 30, 35 and even a 80 cc single rotor engines. The smaller ones are for UAV's (run on jet fuel, EFI, own on board oiling system) and cost a small fortune but the bigger one is for scale model aerobatic aeroplanes.

I'd love to make a twin or triple rotor engine even if it was an OS motor base.

its not good to turbo a nitro engine, it makes the engine lose power and it brakes it.

There's full size Mazda RX-7 engines running nitro with two huge turbos down at my local track every year, so yeah I think that's just in RC cars.

It is just in nitro cars because it uses top fuel witch is just like decal but much more combustible so there is no need 4 a turbo.

Thanks for you interest and comments, I really appreciate it.

After running it, I tore it down to inspect for wear/damage and it looked good. However, when I reassembled it I over torqued a nut and ruined a bearing, and this is the reason for no videos of the engine tuned. I have to stop being lazy and order a new one.

I have already started on designs for a completely custom and scale engine, and will include a water jacket.

The Rotors, Rotor Housing and (1) Side Housing are made by OS Engines from the OS 30 Wankel. I machined the e-shaft from 4140 then hardened, the center and front housing are cast iron both hardened. The exhaust is bent stainless steel.

Its a pretty large engine. Roughly based on the rotor housing dimensions its around 1/4 scale to a 13b. Also, with the cast iron center and front housing it is a bit overweight. I will have to experiment with different aluminum's.
