I was raised to think about things rationally and to question everything. I also come from a scientific background. Lately, however, I have been exposed to subjects and matter on youtube and various other websites, which have quite frankly attempted to change my whole way of thinking and the view that I have of the world. the problem is that you are not attacking the weakest points of creationism.

you just cannot win against creationism when you just try to defend science.

the weakest points in creationism are: the god hypothesis, the bible, the behaviour of religious fundamentalists, the concept of sin, heaven/hell, the concept of faith.

I compulsively get involved with futile arguments myself, but I'm working on letting go more quickly. I can think of many arguments that I have had in my lifetime where both sides claim that they have done nothing wrong, only to change behavior anyway. My point is, that it is hard to change behavior that is taught from childhood and steeped in the fear of hell, but despite arguments to the contrary, you may have influenced more change than you know.
