I too had a blue heeler named Brindy who I lost last March. We got him from a local shelter at 18 months and we enjoyed his companionship so much. He was a smart dog who enjoyed chasing tennis balls and squirrels. We miss him a lot so I sure enjoyed watching the videos of this amazing breed.
He looks so cute at 0:59.And im so sorry he died. You can get so connected with a dog and when they die.It feels like your life is over,But it always gets better.Always :)
our blue dog( bluey) would walk us kids to school and if any one he didnt know approched us he would growl at them and in the afternoon he would hear the school bell jump the fence at home run at full speed to the school and walk us home ,he was verry smart we got him off our grandfather after he died ,bluey howled for hours on the porch the day of his funeral, he wouldnt eat or drink didnt want anything to do with his toys. smartest dog ide ever known ,ready for any chalange!

I agree w/TheJoel - I cried watching this imagining the day when I'll no longer have my blue, Wilson. That'll be a dark chapter in my life, for sure. Thank you for sharing. (And yes, he's named after the volleyball in Castaway.)
My two heelers, Trouble and BooBoo died 30 days apart from each other in 2002. I cried like a baby and this video made me cry again. I have decided that I am ready to have another heeler.
This one is NOT going to eat shit food as I believe that is why they both died of cancer at 7 and 8. I am going to make her food and or she is going to eat as naturally possible.
Anyway, it was kind of you to put this video up. I love having a dog in my life and haven't been without a dog since???
Thank you for your comment. We now have Mulch(Red cattle dog) and Ally(Blue Cattle dog female) We have just got 9 puppies from them. They are 3 weeks old and we are looking for good homes for them. They will only go to people we approve of and a clause that says if they ever want to get rid of the dog we will take it back. we are located in brisbane.they are really good looking pups.
I have my blue ! he's lying her eo the sofa next to me asleep and watching your video make me cry like a baby cause I have imagined the day when I will no longer have him and I know that he has changed my life as much as anything I've ever experienced. He is sooo loving and funny. He's spoiled rotten but I wouldn't ahve it anyother way .Im sorry for your loss and I know that mulch has helped .He was certainly a blessing as much as "Blue was to my life" I love this dog as much as I have ever loved
Such a superb tribute to a gorgeous boy and a heart felt song too, the song alone can move me to tears. I have only had my girl for 18 months and already couldnt imagine life without her. Really the best dogs and companions. Sorry you have lost him but happy you had a great dog for a good long time...
It's amazing how a good dog gets into your heart! I lost my best bud sassy a few years ago. I just can't help but think that there's a place for special doggies in heaven. :-)
Thank you for sharing your mate Buck's life with the world, he deserves that, what a beautiful dog. I hope that there are plenty of delicious bones for him in Doggie Heaven!
i lost my blue SADIE when she was 6 months old, i cried like i had her 60 years, i still foster ACDs sometimes, but best breed of dog I've ever been around...
beautiful boy......how lucky you have been to have a dog to love so much. Just stroked my heeler Diesels head so much, trying not to cry, she went a bit dizzy! H
i used to have a blue heeler. it was the best dog we ever had. i'll never have another dog as good as he was. My neighbor killed him in my front yard, because he was always goings into their yard. he should've used that bullet on himself.......
i couldnt watch it all. my 3 1/2 yr blu heeler is the best dog iv ever had and known, and everybody loves him. he is the reason that three people that i know of own one now. i am not looking forward to to the day im in ur shoes, sorry for ur loss
@01ltlb7 . My blue heeler has converted heaps of people who originally thought of them as savage dogs. They could not believe how smart and loving he is. definetily the best breed of dog ever!
mines 14 old and the best mate ever rich and poor i love all the poets but i cant ennunciate how moch so very much that i love myfriend who happens to be a dog
looks like a really loyal dog this tribute shows how much he meant to you.. i lost my blue cattle dog about a month ago. he was 16. his mum was 19 when she died. il never have another type of dog the cattle dogs are by far the best.
Bah, I couldn't finish watching it, I just lost my male Shih Tzu and my heeler has been beside herself... but wonderful memorial. I agree with ozo i'd MUCH rather spend time with my dogs
Lost my Bitch Last xmas was my best mate, Now i have an 8 month old bitch and she is my world, Id rather spend time with my dog than most people i know. the love, respect and honesty is unquestioned.
thats y i hate ACD's there one man dogs and it hangs out with that one guy and they do such dangerous stuff(herd cattle) and than when they pass away it's just like your best friend dieing so sorry for your loss.
I don't want to think about loss we are going to feel when Sammy is gone. Lets enjoy them while we can! Posted is a video of our (time of video, 3 months old) ACD/Lab mix, Sammy.
Thank you for your comment.2 weeks after Buck passed away I got him tattooed on my arm with his collar tattooed all the way around. Its been 2 and a half years now and I still miss him. Cheers,Chris
I know that God sends us Blue Heelers to teach us about what real unconditional love is. We feel the true depth when they pass on. I cried watching your video because it brought me back to Tank, (1993-2004), the other best Queensland that ever lived. That hole in my heart has be patched by Piggry, (2004-hopefully a long long time!). You are a better person, as am I, for having such a great love in your heart. -CJ in Arizona
You are right!!! They are sent to teach us what unconditional love is, I rescued Henry from a very bad home, he became the best dog I ever had. I wish I had video footage of him to upload, he was the most giving, loyal and trustworthy dog I have ever had the good fortune to share company with.
He was lovely what is amazing is my best friend and baby girl Asja is nearly three and she looks so much like your dog did and her mother Crash who is my brothers dog looks a lot like the other dog with yours in the later part of the film.
So sorry for your loss but what a fitting tribute, especially the rides in your ute, he LOVED that eh? I agree he was a wonderful boy and the best companion you could have. You'll never have another Buck but you might find another cattlekid who needs a family to love. Just a thought. Take care and all the best.
Thank you for your kind comments.Buck was with me for 13 years.2 weeks before he passed a red cattle pup turned up at our door. For the best part of his last 2 weeks Buck took the little red pup on his rounds of the property as he did everyday. Now Mulch as we have called him does the rounds everyday. Chris

You must love this dog and he loves you, because you take a lot, a lot of pictures
of him. He seems very sweet. You "two mates" go live your lives together.
