one of the drawbacks of the Ducati's were the instability out of fast accelerating corners. it lacked the straight line speed and power of the Honda. The hondas had a very unpredictable power delivery, and the dukes had a very good balance under hard braking.

@juicer404 I enjoy Moto GP. But the SBK races have been alot more competitive. GP is 2 or 3 riders battling up front and everyone else half a lap back.

damn those boys were pushing! i think you have to add this years Assen race 1 between haga spies and haslam. that battle that spies and haslam had for 3 corners was some of the best wheel to wheel i have ever seen.

Yes he won one race in moto gp!But I think if rossi hadn`t fell of and Hayden had to fight for the win it would have been a different story!Troy is a hell of a spectaculer rider!If Foggy hadn`t been forced to retire,He could have won at least 2 more SBK titles and I dont even like the guy that much!They are all (Modern) gladiators!The British guys are gonna kick arse in `09 though!

age, they wanted a young american - honda really sh*t on colin, he developed the bike and michelins into a wining bike for them. if colin got a factory Honda GP ride after this then for sure he would of been on podiums. .....and can someone post this vid with different music please.

well after watching corser on the aprilia in 2000 I had to have one then watchin edwards in 02 on the rc I had to have one these twins are the best bikes i have ever owned period

rumor has it honda may bring back the rc as a 1200 the RC62 to beat Bayliss on the 1098

God I hope it is true to hear those twins in a line at imola was the most memorable experience of my life period

Fact: Ducati was the dominant bike, Colin Edwards made that heavy pig look good and then got screwed by HRC, see where his team mate finished, LOL. In the AMA the only championship the RC-51 got was against outdated 750s.

Damn I miss this races, Edwards, Bayliss, Haga, Xaus, Hodgson, Chili,etc. Well I WSBK 2008 is going to be just as good with Haga, Bayliss, Lavilla, Xaus, Biaggi, Nieto, the new ZX-10R!!!!!

this was definitely one of the best motorcycle races i've ever seen. the battle was fantastic, even better when you consider what was at stake. both rode the hell out of their bikes, fantastic! and bayliss lost the championship in style without hard feelings, that's what makes great riders.
