just reminds me of being in The Venue on Whitworth Street....i understand it's not there anymore....happened to bump into a guy at a festival last year and I said "I'm sure i know you...." and after about 20 minutes of telling him clubs I'd been to in my life it turned out he had been a bouncer at The Venue in around '92......
managed to find the 12 in a second hand shop a good few years back...one of my most prized vinyls. gotta love that guitar, synth loop & vocal..both of 'em. pure sex.
Excellent track, like many others that have commented on this video, i too had been searching for it since the nineties. i heard this on an edition of The Late Kick Off. i emailed the bbc and the producer replied with the track and artist.
Top tune & top boys (& bird) - remember them offering their help when I had me nose bust at the Venue in Edinburgh summer of 1990 - lead singer later caught a bottle off the crazy hibees that mental night.
Still one of my favourite bands & still on the shuffle - respect !!
In bought the 12" cut to this back in August 1990 when this song was out and have hunted high and low for this song since then. I was 18 then and I still love and remember this band and this song. It was a bit of electronica set to alternative (well the Madchester sound) and still sounds crisp today!
Saw this band in either 90 or 91 at the Waterfront in Norwich. Some idiot kept trying to steal the mic so the lead singer jumped in the front row and chinned him. Liam Gallagher eat yer heart out. Not that I condone violence just a great rock n roll moment x
Have this tune on a "indie top 20 of 1991." This song is indeed the best melange of dance and indie ever. In these days so many great british bands popped up. In Germany we called it all RAVE. Most of the songs did not receive the attention they diserved.
this is a great song but the indie version is even better.
it wasn't rave music though, there were loads of great indie bands going about the late 80's, too many to say but the kitchens of distinction were another great band
Went to see the Angels in the WAREHOUSE, leeds.... Some guy stage dived onto hard wooden floor..... Love this tune - I am 37 - still visit this tune.........love it
I was at the recording studio with the band in Wrexham and stayed in the living acommodation for a few days. The recording director was called Graham - I think? I was mates with loads of of good people who were in bands at the time and never got carried away with the fame bit. I now look back and its sureal to think of just how close i became involved with so many talented people. many of the people who i became mates with are now very succesful, including David Beckham - etc
You've just made someone extremely happy. Thank you.
I've been wanting to hear this track for years. I taped this track from John Peel's 1990 Festive Fifty and was wanting to hear a version with a bit more clarity. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You've made me feel 18 again.
First heard this on a Gary Crowley compilation called 'Happy Daze' way back in my floppy finged days. An absolute pleasure to hear this version for the first time in at least 14 years. Thankyou thankyou thankyou...

Sorry to hear about Simon's death.
Never met the man, but have loved the music of Paris Angels for 20+ years. That makes you feel like you "knew" someone.
I hope this convey's the respect I intend it to.

if you want to get it on CD look for Happy Daze 2 a compilation (in fact both 1 & 2 are worth having) and also the 12" is usually available on Ebay.
