watched this game at my buddy's house with everyone wearing either a team Canada or a Canucks jersey, I was doing exactly what the "hat" Steve was doing up 3-0, but boy..... was it ever close at the end. Glad we won though

Woke up at 2: 30 european time, watched the match, almost died from all of that things, that were about to happen but unluckyly, we lost. However, I think we played a good game, but Canada was just amazing. I didn´t expected anything else, but still we played it pretty good, even canadian smiles have frozen after our 2nd goal :)

In the U.S. they don't care about the Gold Medal game.... we have much more passionate fans here in Canada and we deserve to win and I am sure the fans will help Canada build up its confidence to help beat the states

i agree with what people say about canada playing a much better game since losing to USA. however it seems to me to be somewhat of a hot and cold thing as opposed to a stable improvement. one minute canada plays amazing the next they fall apart.

i am 100% for canada however as a canadian i still wouldnt bet against USA. we may be doing great but unlike them weve had some very unstable moments which could easily end in our downfall if canada lets their guard down like they did slovakia

Have great puck control on your side of centre keep then attack late. they played it near perfection.

Probably the only thing they did wrong was they didn't have enough attack in the first. even though it wasn't their game plan you need to make sure regardless of how good you are at defence that you get some breakouts because a strained defence eventually breaks

Canada has a fantastic chance at devouring the Gold Medal tomorrow night. Unfortunately, it took a loss against the USA last Sunday to know what they are made of. Canada is a completely different team than a week ago. The on-ice chemistry has developed rapidly, and we know our offensive teams. Most of all, we know what the USA is like now. That doesn't go to say USA is still the same team.

We won't be polishing USA's skates tomorrow, we will make them take their skates off.

i think canada is still the f av against usa. but but BUT, if parise lifts his game like he does in top games and miller plays another unbelievable game. also luongo really is so bad under pressure. 7 goals against last year in the elimination game. russia blow out still 3 goals against germany 2 goals against i mean seriously... its germany. Slovakia he had a 3-0 lead he made no real big saves and i mean he would have given them like 3 more goals if the finishers were the right players

A little bit of statistics, Slovakia doesnt even have more players than Canada hockey stadiums :) I think what we showed was amazing and if we scored(Luongo made an amazing save) in our only powerplay things could have been going differently. Great match until the final second I think. Almost tied :)

that was a style of game we do not have fast players so they had to play from defense, but last period they started to play more aggresivelly and you saw what almost happened, unlucky that demitra did not score the third one to tie the game. also when your player pushed our on luongo`s net :) but never mind,everybody wanted to see USA-CANADA final :).

Fine....Canada played amazing the first 50 minutes, and had a ten minute lapse at the end of the game where Slovakia actually forechecked and tried to score...but Canada still won...and Weber was within his right to "push your player" when he is trying to drive out front from the corner....that is called defense.

It's no surprise that Canada made it...... they were heavily favoured throughout the entire olympics. In my opinion they have a team that when it gets hot...it gets hot. Russia was a great example. They completely exposed the Russian defense and Evgeni Nabakov. The U.S. are the best defensive team going up against one of the most exciting teams to watch in the Olympics CANADA on their home ice. If Roberto Luongo can play another solid game in net and we could net a couple goals we're good to go!
