EEEPC 900 With Touchscreen (fido dido) eee pc

so the screen itself, how does it fitted? i mean, does the outer frame hold it in place or is it fixed in place by some other means?

the touch screens are quite thick, i am concerned when i buy one that it will either A, be too thick and cause problems, or B lack a proper trim fitting.

@leloodallasmultipass it is just a touch sensitive screen with a usb based controller. shouldn't be to hard to track down.

@NiGhtMarEs0nWax i can track down "touch sensitive screen with usb based controller" but i wont know if it works or if the kit is complete unless someone refers me to one they have experience with. also, I have no idea whether i will be able to follow the directions that may or may not be supplied with it. HOWEVER, if someone knows where to get THIS ONE, I know i can get through the process.

So again, is this kit still available? (to anyone who knows)

how did you get it to run that fast in windows vista?? i have a 900ha running winxp and have all the same apps, yet all mine run about 13x slower than your eee. message me some pc optimization tips?

there is no way to have multitouch on resistive touchscreens and in this video there is not a single moment where he uses multitouch, so what are you guys talking about?

Awesome!! I've got the 900, all I've done to it is changing the RAM to 2048mb PC6400 800mHz(so-dimm Kingston), and setting all temporary files to a 512mb RAM disk... You know, to up the preformance... But a touchscreen, thats cool.. never thought of that... Thanks for the idea!

hey, Im going to try these apps, I have the same eeepc modded with a touchscreen, (and bluetooth, 8gb cf hd) but my kit was not solderless ^^. I had to use the usb ports from the MiniPCIe ports.
