I just changed the belt and everything and then loaded it up and it spun for 2 seconds then had a disk error. Now it just isn't really responding at all. I put in a disk and it doesn't spin or anything. Any idea what the issue is or how to fix it?
The videos gave my lots of useful advice. However, I have to say it is a lot easier without removing everything. You only need to remove the triangle metal thing to get the belt in and over.
I keep getting error 23 on Castlevania on my FDS, yet when i play Relics it works fine. Yet,Castlevania appears to be in perfect shape. Any ideas? I only own 2 games right now, and before i go and invest in more i want to make sure there isn't something wrong.
hey luke i need your help its dankss... I replaced the FDS belt... now its returning an error 22..... Can you please help me out man. Thanks in advance.
Either 1 of two things is happening. 1. the belt is either too tight or too loose. If it's too tight, try to stretch it just a little bit and try again. 2. The spindle on the top is too high or too low or the screw in the spindle is too tight. I recommend trying to get the harder games to work first. I like to use castlevania 2 because it was the most difficult to get working. If you can get it to read the harder game then it will read mario 2 because mario 2 is about the easiest. Try it again
so i tried what u recommenced and both my zelda games work now but my metroid still doesn't. now i get error 23.
i looked up error 23 and it says (File recognition block #$02 can't read for several reasons and cant be ignored. ) any idea how i cant get this game up and running?
Very awesome man! If you can get a cheap broken one there in Japan and fix it then I would love to have one. Maybe we can work out a trade or something. Please let me know.
I took the dive and purchased a FDS on ebay last night. It needs a new belt which the seller in japan is sending with it. These videos should be much more helpful than his pictures. Thanks for posting this. Also will the japan power adapter for the FDS work in the U.S.?
thanks for watchin them. I just hope that they will be able to help someone. I know that when I had problems it was hard to find people to answer them so I thought "hey, why not put it on YouTube" there's lots of vids there so, this is what's become of it. If you are looking for other repair vids, I have quite a few scattered throughout my vids so feel free to browse

Hey luke!
First off, thank you for making all these amazing videos! Amazing stuff!
I have a question: I followed all your steps.
when i test it i keep getting error 27 the strange thing about this is when i put in Mario 2 it works. and others give me error 27.
I tried going over everything start to finish (its been 5times) but still same thing.
any ideas why this is happening?
thank you again for all the help!
