In Australia christmas lights seem so expencive :( ...A set of 324 led christmas lights costs $89!! And a set of normal incandecent christmas lights cost about $20 for 250 lights. Is this normal or are the christmas lights in Australia way too expencive?
they are from places like target and kmart, i have no idea where i could buy cheaper ones from, they seem alot cheaper in america :) there too expencive here. im not sure where i would find cheaper ones :(
I have a question. I'm very unaware on how these things work, but I've learned some the last couple of days from talking to people in my area that does this. But, I'm assuming that every light strand that flashes is called a "Channel". If so, how many channels are you running? It looks very impressive. The guy I've been talking to said that the most expensive thing in doing a light show like that is the extention cords, and after seeing your video of putting it up, I BELIEVE IT.
I'm running 112 channels and to be honest the controllers are about $350 each and I have 7 so about $2,500. But since I have replace most of my lights with LED this year and last year I have a lot more money in lights. Figure $10 per 50 lights and I have over 40,000 lights. And yes once you do all that you have to spend about another $10 for extension cords, in my case 100 foot cords.
haha yeah the lights where i live are way overpriced! i wish they were $8 for 250 over here as well but thats never going to happen, haha.

Wow you are in Australia, thanks for looking at my display from so far away. That is really cool.
Here we pay about $2.50 US for a string of 100 incandescent and around $10 for LED.
Are the lights you buy commercial grade? or ones at big chain retailers?

Target and Kmart that expensive, I wonder why.
Maybe you can order some from the states and have them shipped.
