as a turk i have nothing against greeks and the greek people..we turks and greeks have many things in common..the only difference is only the religion?..but that is not even a difference;)..turkish-greek-bo­rtherhood-4-ever..let us forget the war like many other nationalities like the scandinavian people, who has been in war many times and the same between french and german..even jews have forgotten what the germans did to their ancestors!!

It's not so much a matter of forgetting but forgiving.  You don't want to forget to make sure those times are not relived. The music on this vid was taken from Zorba - a Greek who spoke highly of Turks. So your comment seemed very appropriate. Thank you for the nice words.

Ah, memories. I lived in the Greek islands for 4 months when I was 20 years old in 1994. Great time! It's truly a breathtaking place. Wish I could go back. My old man, nikoman44, certainly is one of the lucky ones to travel there so often.

Actually the song came first and wanted to build a slide show around it, it was so hauntingly beautiful.

The song is called "Life Goes On" by Mikis Theodorakis from the movie Zorba the Greek soundtrack. It is one of my favorites.

No I'm not - more middle eastern ancestry but because of the Mediterranean influence, my mother was raised on a lot of Greek music and passed it's love onto me. So when you going? - lol.
