I don't believe in the European Union, let alone the Euro. It is music like this that can create a European identity. An English song, played by a Dutchman, in front of a German audience. Your problem is that this song was not born in Liverpool but in the good old USA. This song was written by Rogers and Hammerstein in 1945 for a musical - "Carousel". I suggest that you google it. And no, it is not a song with just the same name. It is the exact song. Someone else claimed that Gerry Marsden wrote it. But again, he only recorded a cover of it. I agree that it was a very beautiful version. But I find it bizarre that people like you try to claim it as their own.
