Private companies that received bail out loans from the government should all implement a salary cap of $400,000.00. In other words, they should not pay their employees anything above $400,000.00. You have to give Paulson some credit, he got this plan for $700bn passed by saying he would buy assets. But he slipped in a clause about changing it to direct capital injection, which is MUCH more effective and better for the taxpayer, and now he's not going to spend a dime buying assets. He pulled a fast one on the wall street people trying to ruin this country for their own short term gain. There should still be more punitive measures, but at least it's not a complete buttfuck of the people.

from what i understand how about the money system works in the USA...for every $1 borrowed, $9 is put into the economy so in actuality, they didn't borrow $1 trillion, they borrowed about 10 trillion so whenever that $10 trillion really hits the economy, gas will be about $9/gallon or something, it's going to be crazy...

I blame all of this on the price of oil. If the price had stayed at $50- or $60 we would not have seen this bust in the market. The home ownership thing is separate form the low profit in the market place. why else would the price of oil fall so fast? You have to give Paulson some credit, he got this plan for $700bn passed by saying he would buy assets. But he slipped in a clause about changing it to direct capital injection, which is MUCH more effective and better for the taxpayer, and now he's not going to spend a dime buying assets. He pulled a fast one on the wall street people trying to ruin this country for their own short term gain. There should still be more punitive measures, but at least it's not a complete buttfuck of the people.

The $700 billion will NOT open up lending, people, and it's not because I read that in todays paper but I used a bit of logic; when millions of Americans have lost their jobs to China and millions more joining the underemployment lines, soap kitchents and becoming homeless, who exactly will the banks be loaning the money to? well personally I am sick of the media, political parties and BUSH & pals trying to fcuk us out of what little money really do not have left after 8 years of this crap. They mame, murder & rape the people for years.. distract us with Puff pieces now after they got thier end of term bonuses from us in teh form of the bail out,divide the supporters with GOP blantant lies during the campaign. NOTE:the campaign was particularly ugly while Bush demanded the bail out. You know they skimmed of the top.

They need to appoint someone NOW to protect Bush and Pals from touching the rest. I feel another 'emergency' coming before xmas so they can get to teh other half of the bail out money. Before Obama gets in office. People are bitching that OBama wants to have his cabinet applicants fill out a questionaire.
