the only difference between electric and nitro is the set up, everyone knows that its not about the money ,the money can always be found wether that means working, borrowing or stealing, i dont understand your point. set some goals for your self and stick to them or your never be able to own anything which means you can only wacth. sort it out.
i have both electric and nitro and i think the only difference is the electric ones dont piss the neighbours off as much.
have multiple batteries for the electric ones and charge em all up for a day out, just like you take heaps of juice if you goin nitro bashin. i never run out of juice or batteries before i break something anyway. rc is great fun and you dont get hurt, generally.
nitro is for more technical people. if you enjoy the hobby and like working around the hobby then nitro is the way to go. electric is easier to deal with and doesn't require much work except plugging in a battery. i personaly enjoy nitro way more because i like being around the hobby not just running a truck. also i like the ease of pouring gas in the tank and going not having to wait on batteries to charge before i can get out there and run again.
yes eletric it the fastest but to get faster than a traxxas 400$ jato you would put lots of green to upgrade it to go over 60 mph but i personaly like nitro for the sounds and real time responce of gas
The only argument I have heard from those who talk shit about electric is that Nitro makes a cooler sound. Wow, sweet man. I will take 20 minutes of playing time over hours and HOURS of maintenance each time you run a nitro car/truck. The amount of run time you get with an electric probably exceeds a Nitro because of all the "tweaking and fixing time" Nitros require. I like both kinds, but find a better argument then, "it sounds cooler."
hahahahah electric my ass they are shit yeh sure very quick but i can adjust my fuel mix and get easy close to 40 mins playing time were as electric i could only get 15mins and thats with good batts. electric is shit.
no its not i got a hpi e10 drift and stock there is a 1500mah in it but it was just 30 mins of driving but now i have a orion rocketpack 5100mah and i can drive 2 hour so just add 2 of them on a e-savage and u can drive much longer
there is only 1 problem in holland they cost about €60,00 for one
if you are going to be running it at a track you should of got a truggy or a buggy, they handle heaps better.. Nitros are kooler! they have a engine that screams when at full throttle.. Unlike electric that just buzz..
all were broken, haha! the reason why I've changed to a smaller tires (on-road) to lessen the load. You can watch the video in one of my compilations "Fully modified HPI eSavage (2)" I raced a brushless revo on that event and see the result
nice video. i own all traxxas though.. stampede, emaxx, tmaxx, and rustler. what motor u got in ur E-savage? my emaxx runs slower and that cant happen bc my dad has an esavage and theres allways competition between the trucks... what motors u runnin with?
nice vid im thinking about getting one of these for my first rc truck i no i want an eletric one that is not over $450 do you have any suggestions anybody?
yeh ive spent 400-500 pounds on my car and it goes about nearly faster than the savage 4.6 and thasts quick. but wwhen you crash at that speed it aint pretty
ha electrics are better... my stampede with a mamba can kill any nitro... AND MY RUSTLER VXL SO STOP UR BITCHIN ABOUT HOW ELCTRICS SUK. I STILL OWN NITROS ALSO.
i killed a savazge XL 5.9!!!!! nit was amazing and i was so suprised. we went of the line and he was going faster but then i put the power down and left it behind.!! it was amazing.
theres not much on tht will improve the preformance much xcept the heatsyncs and the wheelie bar
(must get a wheelie bar do u kno the mirrage order code??)
you could do with some high preformane batt connectors and sum hi amp batterys
trust dont get hi amp batts without decent connecters cos the stock ones spart melt then shor tout and youll have a nice pair of pretty much welded up motors
(unless your all posh nd can afford brushless motors)
Only for design purpose dude. I've changed to phaltline on-road tires. try to navigate yahoo videos, search hpi vs traxxas. There you will see, video quality is not good though
When u upgrade the e savage u only need one brushless engine -not two, thats waste of money. With one brushless engine and transmission change the car flips over in 10mph or more if u aren`t carefull with the trottle.
busted motor due to extra hard bashing? this happened to me once, on my t4, the magnets in the motor's can was broken so peices of magnets were all over the motor inside..
also chek if ther eis notihin obstructing ur gearing...
conidering u are talking about the esavage, a nitro truk...

lol i bet that thing goes faster than yours. uy idiot.
gampo2 3 years ago
what ever duhu:P
could be faster, but it doesn't have the smelly smoke, and the screaming sound of the engine and all those things.
to be honest, electro is very quick;) often faster then nitro

You could try T-Maxx 3.3 Driveshafts. (You'll need to shorten them a bit and can't use the output yokes, though)
