  • I also remember that goal by Ronnie Boyce. Talk of terrible pitches, I think Leicester's FA Cup match against Liverpool was postponed at least five times.

  • always remember that goal by boyce on motd. greaves was the best finisher of all time. the pitches back then, the baseball ground, stamford bridge, unplayable really.

  • In those days we would walk from the Kippax end through the goal end towards the exit. I was right in line with the back of the goal when it went in and we laughed at Joes face.

  • so glad they don't still play on pitches like that now

  • ERRR Is that the mud flats of essex?????????

  • @C0NTR4B455 no its Maine Road Manchester

  • One of my favourite goals too by Ronnie Boyce but I think West Ham won this match 5-1 but lost at home to City in the same season 4-0

  • Where's the grass???

  • @RICHTAYL the grass was smoked

  • I was at this match it was one to forget for us city fans but ronnies goal made it unforgetable fair play to West Ham they always attacked in the 60s and 70s and I enjoyed watching them when they came to Maine Road
