@Chefodeath Northern Irish accent is still an Irish accent, just a little different but has nothing to do with British English. I used to live near Belfast for many years. Northern Irish are still Irish, but they are mostly protestant instead of mainly Catholic. The accents are very similar.

@blondecat666 Thats my point though. The Stryker moron implied this movie is from the UK and everyone is giving him shite for it because of the obvious Irish accent. My point is however that it could very well be a northern Irish accent, thus making it a part of the UK. And if I remember correctly from reading the book, the Dad was raised in a Belfast orphanage.

@Chefodeath And just one more thing. The two accents are similar, but definitely and very noticeably different for people in the UK, Ireland and Northern Ireland. I could never mix the two accents, as well as the Scottish, Geordie or Welsh even they are part of the UK, as you can definitely tell in the US that a person is from Texas or Connecticut.

This is probably the best movie I've ever seen. It's original, funny, dark and unpredictable. Not to mention absolutely brilliant acting by Eamonn Owens. This definitely beats that shiz from Hollywood! I am definitely gong to have to own my own copy and read the book too.

Funny thing about this flick is that my mates from Dublin really hate it? For the life of me, I can't understand why, as I think it's bloody fantastic. They wouldn't even tell me what they found objectionable about it, just that it was bad for Ireland. What on earth makes this flick bad for Ireland?
