I never liked this play because I thought it was dull. Then I heard a professional company do it and wow... unreal how powerful it can be. Absolutely unreal.

Unfortunately, on this video the actors are jumbling words, failing to enunciate, and throwing away lines just like I did when I did this play in High School. We butchered it.

My suggestion: Get the LA Theater Works audio copy of The Crucible. Slow down, enunciate, and I can't wait to see your next attempt!

Its about how a theocracy society works. A theocracy is a cociety built where the church controls the states decision, and because the constitution wasn't made back in 1692, random so called innocent girls can accuse a person of something they didn't do, and miller wanted to show how a theocracy would be like. He probably also reflects on how he sees life, now, where people are being accused, in court, of things they didn't do. Another point of the play was that 19 people were accused of witch.
