  • excellent video - just a shame I cant build any of my hundreds of models as Im studying...

  • what plane is this?

  • I love to detail my 1:72 models. Doesn`t matter where on the aeroplane it is. If for some obvious reason or not should it not be visible for the naked eye, i couldn`t care less. I know it`s there, and that is what matters to me. I do envy the people building in the "big brother" scales, because of the detailing is so much more obvious for them while working on it, and it also is easier to do because you have bigger parts. Yes, it is easier, but i will always stick to the 1:72 for the challenge.

  • Alot of this work is pointless unless you are building 1/32 scale. You can go nuts workin on cockpits and realize after you put it together ya cant see 2 thirds of it.Just do what you need.

  • @zx7gp You have a point. It is hard to see all the detailed work done to the cockpit after the canopy windows are installed, expecially on bombers. Well, if a little spider were ever to go in, it would be impressed.

  • thanks, a very good help for building/painting mine junkers ju 88 from revell (1/32).

  • Does anyone know which manufacturer and scale that Do 217 is in?

  • @milo26782 I looked at the instructions on the revell website for their kit, looks quite simular.

  • @milo26782 try google

  • we want to see you painting it.

  • so ive only made a few models a SR71 Blackbird a Cobra and just recently a Tamiya F-4 phantom im about to start on a A-10 Warthog and would like to know how to paint it a sort of woodland or desert camo if you know of any videos please let me know

  • I like to use a pin and dip the tip in paint then apply the paint onto the buttons like that.

This way I can put multiple colors on buttons without the use of a extremely small brush!

Great vid, I hope to be as good as you one day

  • LOL "Dick-Els"

    Silly accents....

  • any tips on painting models, i just finished my first paint job. It was an alright paint job but i would like to imporve it majorly.

  • Dek-als! (^_^)

  • you must use a one strand paint brush!

  • "Big glass House canopy" Some people !

  • the same old story, they show perfectly refined model parts instead showing "how to make it" .

  • @patsematary i no right ive been doin models 4 a while but some times i jus cant get the paint to go on smooth mostly wit the white lol wheres the how to vid

  • how u paint so small objects like all those buttons?

  • With a fine brush

  • or a toothpick, or a paint pen or pencil.

  • Well, try to keep the instrument panel on the sprue, makes it so much more easier to paint.

  • thx!

  • I like to dry-brush guages and buttons with a dark silver or gray. Get some paint on your brush (med. size) and paint on some scrap surface until there is barely anything coming off the brush, then give the raised edges on the guages and buttons a light brushing or dusting. You'll be surprised at how they just start to stand out with an authentic weathered coloring. Hope that helps.

  • thx

  • Awesome video, how do you paint the canopy?

  • OMG! I yesterday bought that model (Dornier Do-217, right?)

  • He keeps saying "DEKKLES" in his videos.

    DEKKLES?

    DEKKLES?

    I think he's saying DEE-CALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh NO! It's like he pronounces things differently than you!

    Quick, make an ignorant post!

  • Oh NO! It's like you have a frail ego and can't handle anyone having a bit of fun with the oddities of the English language.

    Pity you.

  • "frail ego"? What a horrible choice of words. It's not my video at all. You merely sounded like an ignoramus.

Is English not your first language?

But thanks for the laughs, anyway.

  • It's plain to see that you are having some emotional issues. Perhaps trouble at home? Please don't take your anger out on your loved ones. I suggest you take up lawn bowling to ease your seething anger.

    Good luck!

  • Let's just go back to calling them 'water slide transfers'?

  • Whether it's pronounced 'DEKKLES' or 'DEE-CALS', 'PO-TAY-TO' or 'PO-TAH-TO', I'm pretty sure we all know what he's talking about...

    English makes me laugh...

  • "English makes me laugh... "

    Likewise m8.

    :)

  • I agree with you 100%. DEE-CAL, not DECK-UHL. DEE-CAL!

  • hey guys is it just me or is he sating "Big glass ass canopy"? :D

  • he said big glass house you fool

  • yes he said "Big glass ass canopy" lol
