An excellent compilation Ryan, and a superbly inspired choice of positioning at Bow Grange - just right to get the reverse curves in the frame whilst also being able to be in great position for the pan across the top of the cutting which then enabled you to get a really good going away shot. Definatley 5* if we were still alloed to vote!!
I agree with what you say I had seen that spot filmed before and wanted to try it out. I must admit unless I'm wrong but I think the Bow Grange shot is the best shot of the film due to how I did it and the location itself.
Thanks again for your outstanding comments Mr. Masterman I had hoped it all came well with fears of what could happen with shots, but yeah it all came well.
Good work again Ryan, of course we saw you as you were on your way to Dainton at the Penn Inn roundabout! we were on our way to our first location down the river. With such a light load, you did'nt get much footage for your £1 at Dainton! Especially liked your last location, I'm looking at that ploughed hill in the distance and thinking Hmm, on a cloudy day or morning climb?? Alan.
You seem to see me everywere I go, were as I can't see you so you've clearly got good eyesight. With a light load like that for a doubleheader all for £1??? I'd prefer if they stuck 12 or 13 on!
What a fantastic piece of work Ryan once more!! I would've gotten down to see this, however, family comes first, and so I had to skip it. I love the first attack of Dainton and hope to visit there when 6024 and 60163 double head in late summer!! Liked!!
Glad to know you liked it. Family commitments do come first at times, but there was no way I was going to miss this run! Who knows about that run with 6024 'm 60163.
that was so brilliant and nice good video thanks

I assumed that you payed £1 to go into the field at Dainton, has that stopped now or did you go into the lower field?
Steamclips 1 year ago
No you still gotta pay £1 to be in that field, were ever you go in that field but for £1 to see a great performance by steam is well worth it.

once again, 5043 (with assistance this time) proving that it can do what an HST can do any day.

I'd now like to see 5043 haul 8 to 9 coaches over the Devon banks.

You did a real great job. This is a magnificent document of an irretrievable momemt in steam rail history. Your positioning was just the best.
Thank You for presenting us this brilliant video - 5 Stars ++

In these excellent clips you have managed to capture the spirit of the GW express in its heyday.
