  • Chicken Shack !

  • This track is ridiculously good! Blistering guitar!

  • pretty badass

  • always way bigger in germany than in england or the US, could never understand it, sort of the hasselhof of blues rock lol

  • i have never heard this band but thank you i love this. This is real music alabama

  • guilty

  • never herd them but fucking great cantrell760

  • Magico British Blues....

  • Well Well Well!!! I am SO SO PLEASED to see this here.. Yo People.. Listen to this folk!! Please, turn it up loud!!!

  • Oh man..MEMORIES Love this thx

  • Epic album...love it.

  • anthologoy album going up and going down 1970 -

  • MY favorite song they have is the house that love lives in someone should post that song up ! its off the anthology album everey true chicken shack fan im sure knows that song ! CHICKEN SHACK SOOOTHES MY SOUL!

  • Chicken Shack used to play at The Cock Pub in Kilburn Hi Rd. early 70's it was an irish pub, but it Rocked on a fri night.

  • Fantastic track. They came to my school in 1972 - Christine Perfect had left for Fleetwood Mac the week before apparently - Stan Webb epitomised all that was brilliant about British gutsy rock.

We also had The Groundhogs, Budgie, Roy Harper and Edgar Broughton - I was a Lucky Boy!!

  • i once got to know chicken shack by a good friend, who had a friend, who went to the usa to come back with a cd of a british blues band. now that´s a story xD.

  • *a masterpiece* timeless*

  • wow! great guitar work!

  • One of my favourite songs from Chicken Shack. Seen them live some years ago in Soest/Germany. I hope they come here again for a concert...

  • What ! And the UK isn't small and isolated ? Muppet. I'm not German by the way.

  • Fucking idiot! Germany is the biggest country in Western Europe and borders at least half a dozen others. Admittedly, it's not as big as Canada, but then it's not as empty either - and as for isolation, how many countries do you share a border with?

Do you go to Quebec and tell them not to speak French? Fuckwit. (by the way, I'm English - just not a linguo-fascist)

  • ya butt germany is chalk full of nazi men

  • You got the nicest blues around, foe.

  • does anyone know if there a guitar tab for this tune??

i wanna rock oot to this bad boy!!

  • I have seen him live several times in the late 90's and his rendition of this song was frankly incredible. I have it on CD. How the man is not a legend completely eludes me

  • i once heard a version of this song ....longer....tighter....and maybe even an organ solo...its been a while...but it was wayyy wayy better....lyrics were a drop differnt..(instead of 'never love before' it was 'never lov again'....an there deff was no "but ur skin is brown"...i wouldve remembered that........if anyone has any idea wat im talkin about let me know.......

  • The version you are thinking of is on The Anthology 1967-2001 disc 2. amazing guitarist , saw him at Chislehurst Caves early 1980`s , great gig

  • We saw them in Antwerp (Rivierenhof) a couple of years ago but unfortunately they did not do Poor Boy, eventhough we were screaming for it. Would be great to see footage! This is definitely the all time best ever from my wonder years.

  • Thank you....thank you...thank you! I've been waiting for years hoping somone would post this - THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

  • You're welcome :)

  • I remember watching Stan Webb doing his magic 1969-71 when I lived in London. The man was incredible, what energy. I could never figure out how come he never was "discovered" ?

    Thanks for posting

  • Thnx!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You're welcome

  • Oh dude that is totally amazing awesome dude baby yes (that was my crazy brother)

  • Just like many of their quality British Blues contemporaries, as they got deeper in their careers, this album stretches the blues form successfully, as Fleetwood Mac did with Then Play On, Savoy Brown did with A Step Further and others.

  • Thanks for the upload. Definitely one of the classics ! Is there video footage of this ??

  • Yet another classic I must try to find! Great!!! Thanks so much maciekstudio, from recordman1207.

  • You're welcome, it's no trouble whatever :)

  • AMAZING!!!! One of my favorite album in the 70's..... the guitar's solo is unbelievable..... ty for posting!!!
