I used to have this image of Russian women being frumpy, over-weight and homely with the occasonal wart somewhere on their face. Not anymore! Russia has shared so many of their beautiful ladies with the rest of the world these past few years and I just look at them in awe. Anastasia is so very beautiful and fluid.......a truly gifted lady.

Volochkova was born to a middle class family. In 1996, she won 1st prize and gold medal at the 2nd Lifar Ballet Competition, Kiev.

Has headlined at the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Opera House, Coliseum, Palladium Theatre. Danced as prima with the Hermitage Ballet and Grigorovich Ballet.

Volochkova was fired 2005 by Bolshoi Ballet as it was reported that the Bolshoi Ballet dismissed her for being too tall and heavy.

I say Bolshoi is blind 100% full of BS. I find her so alluring, easy to love.

She's definitely too ego-y! I think that's ultimately what has gotten her into trouble. Her bone structure is much larger than your average Russian ballerina, but she's a million miles from fat. Off hand I think she's perfectly talented and could make a good career of it, but her poor attitude has gotten her into trouble in Russia and earned her a bad reputation. As for her physique, she's better suited to an American company than a Russian one, but she isn't fat.
