Wow! What a gentle toddler! I watched a video before this where a toddler was throwing things at a frightened kitten and the adults just laugh. Your little girl proves that good parenting is key. They are both very cute and gentle.

Children don't develop asthma from being around animals - if they HAVE asthma, animals can trigger it, but there has not been a documented case of a child getting asthma as a result of being in contact with animals. I have been raised with a variety of animals, and never got sick from any of them. If anything, they have given me a very resilient immune system!
Yep, my grandma sterlized everything with her 2 younger kids. My mom was the oldes and wasn't wanted so she didn't with her. My aunt and uncle have severe asthma and lung damage from all of my grandma's cleaning products.

Yep. My mom's cat thought I was her baby when I came home from the hospital. And she slept and cleaned me ever day. I am 12 and am helping my mom foster orphaned animals. I have no allergies and all my friends grew and love animals. None of us have allergies. Actually, none of us get sick as much as the kids who live in sterile homes- one is not allowed stuffed or plastic toys in case of alergies.
I'll guess you suffer from a lot of allergies and/or some form of auto immune disease. Kids need to be exposed to Allergens/ nuts/pets/ dirt for a healthy immune system
There was study done in Sweden that stated just that. Kids growing up on farms where they are exposed to dirt, animals and plants grew up with healthier immune systems than kids who were sheltered from any exposure.

Nearly all of the asthma cases today are from OCD moms and their cleaning products and stressful lifestyles- not animals.
