I haven't done a HM general, but i've done the regular alot of times. just wondering why didn't your mages go ffb spec? i mean the mana efficiency on it isn't that much worse than the frost spec

Because when you include brain freeze and water elemental, the mana efficiency actually *is* noticably worse. Also, when you're first learning, you can pick up arcane mind as frost which lets your mana pool extend for a minimal dps cost.

Frost also puts up scorch automatically -- restacking scorch is just not the sort of thing you want to be doing on Vezax.

Mainly, though: ice barrier is very very useful when learning -- ffb has no bonus survivability. (Frost has MA also, in the arcane tree.)

For 10 man, a blood dk tank (death strike), 2 healers on seperate sides of the tank (or 3), and the rest melee. Think that would work? Slow dps, but no faceless procs and the healers, w/ a dk tank at least, would have less heals. The only reason i don't feel it would work would be healer's mana, but hey, i've never tried him hard mode.

40% of your raid needs to be at range otherwise Faceless/Shadow Crash hit melee range.

The original Vezax kills were done with everyone in melee range because you could cheese it that way, so the fight was changed.

Considering the amount of healing done to Vezak if you stand next to the person with the debuff. On hard mode, if the power aura was the whole friggin screen it wouldnt matter. You can't afford to give any health back to the boss. So whatever it takes. Gratz on that hard mode kill.

If the screen lag is really bad, you may want to do some google searches. I know I had issues at first, but was able to resolve with a few vid card settings. I still get FPS lag while recording, but nothing terrible.

There is no mana regen so you can't do anything special with it. just have to take the most mana-efficient specs you can, play smart, use shadow protection pots, etc.

I just use the WoW Macintosh client to record.

We required everyone to get bigwigs and turn on "Shadow Crash say" for the kill, since you *cannot* get hit by Crash, especially after the Animus spawns.
